Just got my Vivi Nova 2.5 kit and its very inconsistent. My 1st few hits are really good, and them it seems hard to draw or get a good hit, even when the tank is full of juice.I even twirl it and flip it upside down and it isnt working well.Dont really understand what im doing wrong. I thought the 2.5 version wasnt suppose to have these problems, or am I doing something wrong? HELP PLEASE!

Did you let the wicks get good and saturated first? I usually let mine sit and absorb for 10 minutes or so before I start vaping on it, then I puff on it a few times like a cigar to get everything heated up and flowing. If you're chain vaping on a brand new head, it may not be wicking fast enough to keep up with you. Go gently with it a little while you break it in. Mine always hit better after they've sat overnight.

When you filled it, did you possibly get any juice down the center hole?. When you fire the battery, what kind of noise does it make? If it sounds like it's drowning in juice, unscrew the vivi from your PV and blow through the mouthpiece, holding a napkin under the battery connection to catch juice, until you can't blow anything else out.

What is the resistance of the head in the vivi, and what voltage is your battery?

Someone else will probably be able to chime in with better advice. I've only been using a vivi about two weeks, but it's been virtually problem-free for me, so I haven't had to do much troubleshooting. (Mine's a mini, but I think they're pretty much the same besides tank size? Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure. :D)

Try a lower resistance. What ohms rating do you have in it now. I had to step down for use with my passthrough ego. I just us a lower voltage on my twist. You goal is to be at about 6 watts to maybe 8 watts. Formula for calculating that is Voltage squared divided by ohms. here is a link to a chart I use. http://s1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii543/delanos53/?action=view&current=vapingchart_zpsa7e4c921.jpg and here is a spread sheet that will figure the watts for you.

Try that. I have one and I also seemed to have to break it in. The resistance changed after I used it. Before I used it the reading was like two times what it should have been but after a bit that changed. You have a 1.8 ohm try that first. Don't fill it up until you find the right one.

I dont believe I got juice in the center hole. As for noise, it isnt making any noise, I dont get that sound like I do when I use cartos. I got 3 heads with the kit 1.8ohms 2.4 and 2.8. Ive been using the vape chart to make sure I set it on the right voltage. I have a twist so I cant change the volts.

In addition to what everyone else has said, remove the atomizer head and look at the bottom, where that threads are that attaches it to the center post. There should be two notches in the threaded area, that allow air to flow. No notches, no flow. I have a 3.5 and a 2.5 Vivi. One of my atomizer heads was not notched as I described, and the draw was rather stiff. I removed the head and replaced it with a properly-machined one, and it works terrific! Perhaps you have one like I got. Check it out.

Is the air vent on the connector? If so, loosen the ViviNova and see if it improves the air draw. Also, make sure there's no ejuice between the Twist and ViviNova (use a Q-Tip to clean). Another thing to check is if the cap is twisted too tight which will result in the silicon cap pressing too hard on the wick which restrict the flow of ejuice.

In that case, take the silicon cap off and use the Q-tip to clean the connection between the silicon cap (flat side) and the top rim of the base (rim around the wick/coil). Little or no vapor production are usually due to eliquid disrupting the connection, so try cleaning these joints first. If all else fails, take out the eliquid -> take ViviNova apart -> run it under hot water -> dry -> refill -> test.

Do you have a "sleeve" (sometimes called a "skirt") around the bottom where the tank attaches to the battery? I've found that if that is screwed up too tight to the tank it blocks the airflow and makes it hard to draw. That sentence doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but if you have one, you'll figure out what I'm talking about.

Never heard that one before. I may just have to try that out In the morning.

I had a contact problem with my twist (I think maybe not) I had a 510 to EGo T adapter I put on and then put it on and that helped but I also had a atty that was HR and put in the 1.8 ohm and made sure the atty was screwed down firm because I noticed that when you unscrew the cap if the atty is not on firm it will back off some.

pokergod,
What type of liquid are you using & do you have short or long wicks? The problems that you're experiencing might be from "overwicking". For me, the long wicks seem to wick too well & cause too much liquid to be delivered to the coil. It doesn't gurgle like an overfilled carto though. I trim the wicks on mine & problem solved.

Make sure the center seal isn't getting dislodged when you screw on the top cap. Happens with mine every time. Take off drip tip, look down center hole, screw on cap, use a paper clip to set the seal back in the center.

Looks like this was the problem. Thank you very much for your help. :toast:
