I have noticed with all new devices that you do not need a break in period if you clean the new heads/coils in PGA prior to use.
This has been my experience with all of my changeable head devices and even my own rebuildable coils too.
Some ppl boil their wicks, but I find it easier on the heads if I put them in a ultrasonic cleaner w/ PGA or vodka.
I think all device have something on them from the factory as machines make a lot of them, even bare wick & wire included.

Just got my ViVi Nova 2.5 yesterday. First thing I noticed is the first tank started with a pretty anemic vape. Not much vapor and very tight draw. But this got better as i vaped (and played with voltages)..but was getting occasional semi-dry hits. Even with tilting, vaping sideways, standing on my head.

Eventually on tank 2 was getting awesome vapor (too much actually). Dry hits went away.... flavor came way up. Ok...break in period. I currently have the 2.4 Ohm head set at 4.2 - 4.5 volts. Anything less and to me the vapor gets anemic again....

I have noticed, however, the same issue I have with other attys... after above 5 ml of juice I start getting brown/burned juice. Dont know if its my vape pace (Im a chain vaper at home), or the fact that I take LONG draws, or sometimes I expell some of the vape in my mouth back into the atty (I have a VERY strange draw...almost like a pipe smoker). Even with my Reo and a Cisco Atty I can only vape for a day or so then the juice starts getting a burnt flavor.
I found for chain vaping like I also do, a small piece of cotton from a cotton ball rolled into a wick about 3/4 in laid above the original coil and wick is a 100% improvement. It kind of averages everything out, vaper, flavor, TH and no dry hits. The pics are on a rebuild with a cotton cheesecloth wick in the coil, but it also works great with the original wick. Small cutouts in the silicone cap to give the wick a little extra room.

Check out this video from PBusardo, there are links at the bottom of video for where to get the wick, wire, etc..
He has many very informative videos and it is where i 1st heard of this tanks system. I had a burnt taste at 1st, but it improved after about an hour of moderate use. I just recieved it today, and am quickly loving it more and more, tomorrow i will be trying it on my Lave Tube 2.0 chrome :). I plan to build my own wicks after watching how easy it is on this video.
2.4 ohms at 3.7, 3.8 works much better than higher Voltages?? Not sure why.

Yeah…a lot of people say that. I don't get it. I run my 1.8 ohm heads at the top of what my Twist can do and think they're great. Below 4V and there's no flavor or TH, just like with everything else I've put that low. I keep putting them on meters and the heads keep reading about what they're supposed to. IDK…maybe just having the coil higher gets it hot enough for you.

I tried rebuilding, but still get a strange taste. But even if I use cotton. And it's not he plastic cap. Been using a mini vivi nova. It must be the kanthal that gives the tastes. Since I also have it when I rebuild the phoenix rba. I also tried heating up the kanthal before using etc. I just can't get used to the taste.

But I bought a Mini Vivi nova just for trying and I like it. Even the 2.4 head is nice on an ego. Better on a twist. It's a great product
