Getting a few drops of liqiud on my v max heating element. plus its making a gurgling sound which just started when useing johnson creek tenn...cured liquid. I dont even fill it up to the plastic seal never to the 3ml mark help???

Same thing happens with mine. I just wipe it off and stick a tissue up the hole to catch any extra. Maybe your thread will shine some light.

The VN can flood when tipped if the wicks are not plugging the gap between them and the silicone cap. Also happens if you draw on it while tipped.
Take off the drip tip, swab out the top. Put drip tip back on. Remove the whole tank. Blow through the drip tip into a napkin or something and blow all the juice out of the center tube. Clean the threads on the bottom of the tank and also the PV connection.
Different juices have different viscosity. Particularly with differing PG/VG ratios. That makes a difference in wicking/flooding too.
Make sure the flat side of the washer inside the silicone cap is facing down toward the bottom of the tank (so you don't put it on upside down).

Could also be the head is not screwed on tight allowing juice into the airway. Should also be a silicon O- Ring on the head where it connects to the airway tube. Sometimes the head will become slightly unscrewed when repeatedly removing the drip tip.
What I mean is that the liquid is coming out at the hole in the bottom of the nova which makes contact to the heating pin on the z max.will try what you said when the tank is empty,thanks for the advice.

Juice goes down the airway tube and deposits on to the firing pin.
Do you have a wick trapped in your bottom cap? ie, a wick that is too long? Just a thought.
Trimmed the wick prior to installing the 2.8ohm head.gonna try to tighten the center pin. Only hand tight or use a needle nose plyers??
Only finger tight. Next time you take it apart make sure there are 3 X O- Rings- one in the base, one on the head and one on the drip tip. Also check for damage- cracked, broken, twisted.
