So while I like the ease of using my vivi nova tank on my new Vamo, I'm not impressed with the overall quality. Looking for some alternative tank systems.
What I got - Mini Vivi Nova 2.5
What I dont like about it: Getting that burnt taste, read up a bit and seems to be a common problem. There's some suggestions out there, but they involve far too much "fiddling" for my taste.
I like the tank system, and am far less concerned with cost as I am with ease of use and good vaping. I've given up any notion of saving money at this point, really not what I'm after. Analogs were a huge part of my life (and drain on my wallet) for far too long to worry about saving money.
Love the Vamo, perfect for me. vaping HHV Heavenly tobacco...liquid covered. I just need the right tank system and my life will be complete :) or at least the nicotine delivery portion of it.

TL;DR...need a reliable, low "fiddle" tank system!!! Looking forward to some suggestions from those of you who've been doing this way longer than I have!

Tried cartos? If you don't like to fiddle around with stuff, then a nice carto tank (not cheap Smoktech crap, get a GOOD tank) is about as little fuss as you can get with a decent size tank that you don't have to fill all the time. I had a Liquinator from Vaporescence for the longest before I switched to rebuildables, and I was very happy with it. Just bored lol. I'm a tinkerer by nature. Get some prepunched cartos (again not the Smoktech cartos, those holes are too small and you get back into the fiddling) and a nice tank, and all you have to worry about is filling and vaping. Carto goes out, tastes funny, stops working, just pop in a new carto.

As for the Vivi Novas, I had the same problem. Sometimes I would get a good vape, and others it would taste burnt. I tried rebuilding with silica several times, tried SS mesh, nothing gave me the vape I wanted. It was only after I rebuilt with cotton wicks (100% cotton balls, little pinched off and rolled into a wick shape) that my faith in the ever popular Vivi Nova was restored. But then that's pretty fiddly lol.

I've got a few iclear 16's on the way made by innokin, they also make a bigger one the iclear 30, they are dual coil and have gotten decent reviews on here so far, they are fairly new. Only issue I've heard so far is that they suck up juice like crazy, but it's dual coil with 4 fat wicks, so it's kind of to be expected.

The 16's are also apparently clearo style that will fit on the Vamo without an adapter and also have replacable heads/wicks... only one like that, that I know of. With the T3 and other newer clearo types with replacable heads you'll need a 510 to ego adapter because they bottom is a little too big to fit in the well.

Should be here in a couple hours, I'll let you know how it works out on my Vamo.

I had the same experience with the Vivi Nova, lack of true taste and sometimes a dry burnt hit. Carto tanks are actually very inexpensive, BUT if you say you don't like to "fiddle" they may not be for you. Rather than purchase an expensive tank, first you may want to do what I did, make your own. Yes it requires "fiddling" but that is the fun of vaping or any other hobby for me. Here is a link to the video showing you how to make one: Syringe Tank Mod and Carto Punching - YouTube

After I built several, I did purchase a tank from Mom and Pop Vapors. It leaked because of a little plug, used to fill their tanks. The plug did not fit well and I had to make a silicone seal before it would stop flooding my cartos. My own home made tanks have never flooded my cartos no matter how big my slots were in the cartos. You can make one of these tanks for less than $4 to $5 dollars. They work absolutely great for me.

After an hour on the new iClear 30, I can highly recommend it over a Vivi, it's waaaay better, at least that's my first impression.
Dual coil, so it can handle plenty watts without a burnt taste.

Just got the iclear16 on my Vamo, and man it's nice. Vaping Bobas without issue currently. The bottom threads are super tight, I don't ever see accidentally unscrewing the bottom on this thing, and it fits in the Vamo well just fine. Glad I ordered 3, will probably grab a couple more if it holds up the next few days. This is much better than the generic nova tank I have, I'll probably play around with re-wicking that thing. I would think the iclear 30 is similar quality to the 16.

Steeler - using 70/30 PG - VG ratio, so that's not it. Haven't tried the Kanger T3, thought I had read that they weren't compatible with the Vamo?

Cool, thanks for your reply, I think I'll give your suggestion a try. Sounds like it might be what I'm looking for.

You can use the T3's on the Vamo, you just need a 510 to Ego adapter, most venders sell them for around 2 to 3 bucks.

Day, with the iclear 16 was your flavor muted at all? I just got mine and I have no flavor. Wonder if there is a break in time with them.

Nah mine were pretty stellar out of the gate, more flavor than the knock off nova I have and better than other clearos I used. I did wash my tubing out of habit though, not sure if that mattered.
