Hi Guys

Had my VAMO for 3 days now and even though I am using the RMS method (N02) of regulating my atomisers between 8.5 and 9.0 v I have already popped one vivi nova atomiser.

I have also noticed with my new atomisers that every so often I was getting a dry hit with burnt flavour and thought maybe I had a faulty 18650 battery but after swapping it out I still have the same problem.

I then checked the setting for the atomisers. I am using a 2.8ohm but the VAMO reads it as a 3.1. I changed the atomiser for a 2.4 and that reads as a 2.6. Is this the reason why I am getting a burnt and dry hit ? Does this mean my VAMO is faulty......

Any advice as to what I can do to save my remaining atomisers

My vivi novas will vary up to .2 ohms on my Vamo, not worried about that. A little trick I do is cut a litttle slit or a little V in the silicone cap over the coil where the wick touches this cap. This will help you wick the coil better avoiding those dry hits. Try keeping the tank full or just turn the device upside down for a second to keep the wick wet at the coil. I find with the vivi nova 7-8 ohms is more than enough. You may have popped the coil from running dry too long. No worries, you can rebuild them easily with some kanthal wire and new wick.

I second the observation that Vivi Nova heads' actual resistance is different from what's etched on them. The "2.4 ohm" one I have in one of my Vamos reads 2.7 ohms -- and also reads 2.7 ohms on my Lavatube.

And Vivi Novas work better with lower power (either voltage or wattage) on whatever VV/VW device you're using. Depending on the e-liquid, I'm usually vaping at 3.4 to 3.6 volts, sometimes a bit lower, but never over 3.7 volts.

Yeah... I ordered two sets of Vivi Novas and 3 of the 6 heads were really off the posted resistance.... the two 2.4 heads were reading 4.7-4.8 ohms and one of the 1.8 heads read 2.8 ohms.... Way off the resistance it shouldve been... I dont think it is my Vamo though.... I think it is the Vivi heads that are faulty... Weird....

9v? Do you mean 9w? Because 9v seems like it would be WAY to high to be vaping anything...

one thing i did notice about a fresh new or clean vivi head is u need to fire it atleast once sometimes for it not to read ridiculously high like that
i think when my last head was new it would read 5-6ohm at first until i tapped the fire button and checked it again...now it reads consistantly at 2.6-2.7 (it's a 2.4 ohm head)
