hi I just got a dual coil vivi nova from a local shop and when I asked about it they said it was a new item they just got in. When I asked about the resistance of the coils they said it was not like a regular head and that it would adjust to the voltage which I think is BS. anyways, when I tried the demo on a small 650mah ego it was great and had a lot of vape considering the battery. so I picked one up. Now what's strange is that when I first put it on my evic it showed 2.2 ohms. But it kept jumping as I took it off and reinstalled it. It went from 2.4, 1.8, 1.4, and now it seemed to settle on 1.2 ohms. He said to use it at 4.0 volts. When I try it at 4 volts it says 11watts and it hits a bit harsh. the sweet spot seems to be around 8.0 watts (3.09 volts). my question is it supposed to be that low a resistance or is something wrong with the head. I got 2 extra heads in the set but don't want to waste it if that's what its supposed to be. Heres a pic of the head, a regular vivi is on the left and the dual coil is on the right. notice how the top is different and there is a nipple instead of the white cap. I tried to open it to see what the coils looks like but I couldn't get it open.

"*DC Cartomizers
Dual coil cartomizers seem to be all the rage lately but there is some confusion on how they actually work.

A dual coil carto consists of two coils of the same resistance. They are wired in parallel so the total resistance is half the resistance of either coil.
For example:
The total resistance of the 1.5ohm dual coil is 1.5ohms, but the resistance of either coil it contains is 3ohms. Both coils are actually 3.0ohms individually, together they are not 6.0, they are 1.5ohms.

A 1.5ohm carto at 3.7V would be drawing 3.7/1.5=2.47 amps. But the single coil is burning at 3.7^2 / 1.5 = 9.13 Watts, while each coil of a dual coil 1.5ohm carto is burning at (3.7^2/1.5) / 2 = 4.57 watts. You are splitting the power between the two coils. Although you can certainly get away with it, a 3.7v device is not ideal for a DC carto, you should use a 4.5v or better."
