Well, I'm taking another crack at the Vivi Nova that everyone is loving these days. I have the V2 (air holes on the battery connection) with the short wicks.

The draw is ridiculously tight. This is the same problem I had when I used it last time and gave up.

Also, which atty is generally preferred with it? 1.8, 2.4, 2.8?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I am no expert, but I just got my first one today, and it is the version 2.5 with short wicks and vents. It was so easy to set up, I left the 2.4 head on cause I didnt want to burn it out in case I messed it up. I have it on a KGO 3.7v . I did do the dry burn as suggested on most of the YouTube reviews, wet the wicks put a drop on the coil, pressed button till the coil got red. I filled it up and let it rip. Very nice. Good vapor, good taste, very consistant, no plastic burny or dry taste so far. Now I dont know enough to know which ohm head would work on what voltage, guess it all depends on how much warmth , throat hit etc you like. I tend to like a cooler vape, and TH is is a very minor thing to me. I go for the taste and big cloud. I am going to switch out to the 1.8 as it is lower resistance and supposedly adds more taste and cloud. I will update this and I hope others jump on this thread that have more experience, so far this is really good and easy.

I went through the Version 1, it was ok, never any dry hits but the flavor was always muted, then went with the v2.5 and love it. I didn't have an issue with the draw on either of them, you might try using an adapter with it if you find the draw is to tight, that can help sometimes or not screw it in as tight.

As far as which head to use, that would depend on the voltage your putting through it, I use vv so it doesn't matter to me. If you're using a 3.7v or under device the 1.8 or maybe even 2.4 would work with the 1.8 giving the strongest hit. The 2.8 ohm would be a pretty weak vape for most people at 3.7v.

Also try pulling the rubber seal up a little and letting the top cap push it down in position when you screw it on. If it's seated down to far that might effect airflow and/or cause wicking issues..

You don't say which device you're using it on but as mentioned an adapter will probably solve your problem. Mine has very good draws on 3 of them i am using.

Ditto - the connection is likely to be the problem. All mine have a nice draw. What are you using it on? An adapter is probably the solve.

It sounds like it's working for you...you probably want to try the 1.8 ohm head just to check, but the 2.4 might be the right wattage for your taste.

Assuming the resistance on the heads is what it's rated for, on the KGO:

Coming right off a charge you will be getting about 9-9.5 watts with the 1.8 ohm head, settling fairly quicky down to about 7.5 watts for most of the battery life (until re-charged).

With the 2.4 ohm head, you'll be getting 7 watts or so, dropping pretty quickly to about 5.7 and holding there for most of the battery life.

Everyone prefers a different heat range (and probably some variation based on the juice you're vaping). Experimenting will help you figure out what you prefer.

Yeah, I tried playing around with the tightness. I'll try what you suggested about the seal.

I had the same issues with my Varitube / Lavatube I used a 510 connection and a 5ml tank adapter for a cleaner look adapted.jpg
