Those are the Smoktech knockoff Vivi Novas and yes I have heard lots of complaints about those leaking. I have only used the Vision Vivi's and have never had that problem so I cannot speak to a fix for the version that you have. Maybe someone else that has had the problem can help more.

I would personally suggest either trying a real Vivi Nova or maybe even some EVods.

Don't be put-off by the knock-offs not working. The genuine Vivi nova is a great clearo if you like top coil devices. I have a mini nova metal (and just recently bought the bigger 3.5ml vivi nova, also in metal, that I am calling the mama-nova) with absolutely no leaking issues at all.

You might want to try that teflon tape... it might just work. If not, you just got 2 free heads for your genuine vivi nova you are about to purchase... :D

There is a bevel that is cut too deep on the tank. This doesnt allow the oring to seat tight enough which is alowing fluid to leak past it.
Get some 220 grit sand paper and place it on a flat surface. Preferably glass. Then place the tube flat against the sandpaper and sand the tank down slightly with light pressure using a circular motion. Take of about .6mm to start. Finish with 400 grit sandpaper to keep the end smooth. This will reduce the bevel so that the oring will seal to the tank better.

No, the tube is level but look closely at the tube inside edge. There is a bevel cut into the inside edge of the tube. This is what the oring seats against, but the bevel was cut too much. Reducing the end slightly will reduce the bevel creating a better seal with the oring in the base. This also will place alittle more pressure between the coil silicone cap and the top cap, but I havent found this to be any problem.

This might not be such a bad thing... the VN I picked up is either a Smoketech or even a knockoff of the Smoketech VN.. not sure...but I found that while I haven't had even a drop leaked from the bottom, if I didn't twist that thing on REALLY tight, dangerously tight I think, I'd get some juice up through that top seal.

Though, I also yanked the little metal nipple tip from the top of the coil, so that might be messing things up a bit too. But the only time I have any leaks now, its into the chamber under the driptip and only after sitting for a bit (so I think that is coming through the coil itself).

I really appreciate smart people taking the time to post things like this, and this forum for giving 'em a place to do it.

I just got a blue replacement tank for my authentic Vivi which leaked top and bottom. It had a much larger bevel compared to the original tanks. Sanded top and bottom as recommended and no more leaks. I actually have gaps between the tube ends and metal about the thickness of a sheet of paper, just how I want it. Kinda makes me wonder if the tank is a knockoff even though purchased where I got the authentic Vivi.

Anyways...thanks JKuro!!

Glad it worked for you! Nowadays its hard tell if you have an original, knockoff, or knockoff of an knockoff, or a knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff.
Another thing to look out for is the coil heads. The last set of Vivi Novas I got all had a bad burnt taste. Found the coils to be wound poorly creating a hot spot. Rebuilding them with new wick and wire took care of that problem.

Go with the Vision vivi nova v2 tanks. They have the best heads and very rare dry hit. I have had no leaks and haven't replace any heads in over 3 months. Tried the Smoketech vivi nova tank and it cracked in two after only a week.

On way I have identified the Vision is the black drip tips. Normally if it is clear it is a Smoketech. Just keep your eye out for it. And I always look for the Vision in the description.

Yeah, I think Visions are the best. I probably have about 3 different knock offs. They all have black drip tips and say Vivi Nova at the bottom of the tank. Only difference I saw was the vision coil heads use a flat silicone seal at the top. Most of the others now have a nipple tip. I only have the early Vision heads, so I don't know if they changed the style in the later models.
