ViVi Nova Not Firing When Screwed In All The Way

Hi there, folks! I just rebuilt a head on my ViVi Nova and it's acting strange. First of all, I'm using a chrome "Lambo" LavaTube from Young June. My problem is that the Nova's only working when screwed in very loosely, when it used to work while screwed in all the way (not too tightly, of course). I have it so loose that it wiggles. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Can someone throw me a bone?

A short, either the kanthal at the positive center post is not trimmed enough cause it to touch the neg side of the 510 connector or it has cut through the rubber. So when you tighten it, either the kanthal is shorting, or the center post is shorting due to a cut silicon seal.

Thanks for the tip. I found another slightly simpler solution: I stuck a needle on the bottom metal plate of the LavaTube's connector and pulled it a little more out. It seems to have sunk a bit. How far can I pull it? I'm afraid of pulling out its guts!

thats how I strip the threads on my lambo, with a vivi nova tank is like the 510 connection is a lil smaller then the lambo so it rocks......

get a mini 510 to 510 or an 510 ego adapter and put a ring around it .......gives it a nice look and solves your problem

Mine did the same thing. I also just added a 510 to 510 adapter because I noticed the small air vent holes at the bottom were being covered by my . Worked like a charm.
