If the air holes are on the sides of the 510 connector, it's authentic. If the air holes are at the widest part of the base it's a clone.

These clones with no air holes on the sides of the 510 connector are junk and will start to taste of burnt rubber after only a little use.

I thought the novas that have the air holes on the widest part of the base are simply v1's?

So far the only mildly alarming thing is the slowly encroaching e-juice that's wicking it's way up the upper threads. It had almost reached the top when I refilled the tank. I cleaned the threads thoroughly and replaced the top, but the fluid returned to about halfway up the threads.

Aside from the occasional twirl to wet the wicks, this device is kept upright at all times. And aside from using a pipe wrench, I can't tighten the threads any more.

Weird, or is this normal? (I have a picture which I'll upload later when I'm finished work).

Nope, not leaking, just a bit nerve-wracking to watch:) I'm not really worried....just got the newbie hypersensitivity to issues...I'll calm down in due time, no doubt. Although I'm actually pretty calm, come to think of it, for someone who hasn't had a smoke for eight days! In the past I'd have been climbing the walls and snarling by now!
