I have seen a few photos splashed around about adding an "over wick" of cotton on top of the stock coil and wick. I am trying to make this work but once i added a peice of cotton as an overwick, i am having tight draws and a weird flavor to it. I tried to find a post didicated to this mod and i am coming up dry.
maybe i am missing a step in the process. the picture speaks a thousand words, and i made it look like that, but my understanding is that it works great, and im not getting close to a great result.

If the over wick is blocking your air roll it a little smaller. This is a cotton ball overwick and a cheesecloth center wick.
All cotton wicks take about 3ml of vaping to get rid of the cotton taste.
