how long are the wicks ? you might want to try cutting some off if they are real long. also are you tipping and turning/swirling tank as you vape? Never really liked the vivi mini . The regular size nova is better imo. If nothing else works put on a new head if you have any and try that. What ohm heads are you using ? and at what volts/watts?

I have gotten this problem from time to time especially from new atomizers. What I ended up doing was soaking the atomizer heads in isopropyl alcohol for about 24 hours and then let it dry for another 12. This cleared up any foul taste in most cases. I would also suggest next time you set an atomizer to ready it first. First pour a drop or two on the atomizer itself and then fill up the tank as you normally would let it sit for 10-20 minutes to allow the wicks to fully absorb the liquid. Then take a few test vapes at a low voltage to see if it's working. If it is, slowly crank the voltage up to your liking. ViVi novas are finicky creatures so you gotta treat em right.

Don't dry burn the stock wicks! If you put the wicks in wet it will take some time to cycle the juice. I second on the try a different head. At 3.7 volts stick to the 1.8ohm. My mini hits like a champ for what it's worth. Looks ok on an ego style battery.

Is it a Vision or a knockoff?

It should say on the side of the head what ohms it is. Also with a new head i would usually put a drop or two right on the coil. You can do this either with the plastic cap on or off, if left on just put a drop in hole and a quick hard blow of air to get it on coil.Sometimes also some dry pulls or primer pulls help get it wicking right. just hit it like normal but with out firing the battery . If all else fails put a new head on , the head your using might have a hot spot ,giving you the burnt taste.
Id say 3/4" ish...... I try to keep it upright as much as possible. As for ohms....Im not sure. 3.7 Volts atm

If its silica wicks (stock wicks) dry burning them will not hurt them.

You could trim some off , but first try hitting it while tipping it almost completely horizontal and then twisting/turning until you can feel the vapor really good , you may get some juice in mouth but with nova's sometimes the need help wicking the juice so tipping and turning is almost a must.
