Carto tanks give good flavor down to the last drop without having to tilt. But each carto only lasts at most 15 ml until you have to replace the carto, which can be very expensive, and refilling the juice is kinda a pain...

You must have some super thick juice or really bad cartos. I consistently get 2 weeks or more from cartos in a tank. @ around 5ml a day thats 70ml

50-70ml is about what my wife gets out of her carto tanks -- LR boges, on eGo batteries... and I'm a cheapskate, so I will run them through a cleaning 2-3 times too. They're never very dirty -- boiling them a few times just gets rid of the excess sugars from her peach and apple juices, and they're good as new.

Definitely need to get her some nicer tanks though -- maybe ones with a top fill screw so I don't have to keep refilling em :D

I vape pretty dark juices since im into richer and darker flavors. If the OP likes lighter juices, like fruity, by all means go for it. Make sure you stock up on replacement cartos though.

For starters, check out DCT tanks (with locks so you dont dump juice all over yourself). Those are around 12 bucks so its a safe investment to see if carto tank is your cup of tea

Actually I'm more into darker juices as well. Just bought a bottle of bananas gone nuts from bakervapor and I can't get enough.

The new iClear30 is fantastic, and after one day I declare it as the very best clearomizer money can buy. Fantastic taste for a clearo and very nice build.

Some of the Kir Fanis carto tanks have the top fill screw hole where you can use a bottle with a blunt needle tip to fill the tank. I saw the all stainless steel Tripolitis tanks in stock at the gr-modders online store. They are kind of expensive, but they do look very nice. There are some reviews on youtube. I have 5 of the Phiniac pyrex tanks and can personally vouch for them. The Phiniac's work with no leaking and you don't have to worry about your cartomizer sliding up and down with the Phiniac tanks. I've also heard great things about the IBTanked pyrex tanks. The IBTanked tanks don't seem to be as thick as the Phiniac tanks but they probably work just as good as the Phiniac's. For the money I would have to go with the IBTanked ones.

For me (and it may have just been the Smoktech's I had from MyVaporStore at the time) -- I get much better absorbant rates with Boges than I did Smoktechs. If I could keep em wet, they were fine (though leaked with those crappy low end smoktech tanks -- ahh beginners purchases :) ) but keeping them wet meant frequent hard dry sucks to rewick.

That said, I've never had much luck with traditionally punched cartos and my 100% VG juices... but have great luck with the lasercut Boges from ElectronicStix... YMMV.

I'm looking around for a new tank (or cart, not sure of the difference)

any suggestions? I'm using a vivi nova 2.8 ml with a totally wicked VariVolt.

i hate that halfway down feel where i have to mess with my tank to get the muted flavor to go away.

Hi Jonny,

It's all about the cartos.. If you are going to do a cartotank you will need some good punched cartos ( Boge , Ikenvape, and Smoktek) are some good ones. Tanks no matter how pretty or expensive are just a vehicle to hold your juice. The kind of vape you are getting is going to be from your cartomizer and juice. The good glass tanks ( Phiniac, Ibtanked are some good ones) are not going to react with some of your stronger flavor juices . Gl and keep vaping.
