Yes I am twirling/tilting etc. I do have VV. So with a 2.8 head what is the standard voltage most use with this? TIA

In most cases (2.4-2.8 ohms), I vape at less than 4V. May be some juice dependency but I use mostly darker 50/50 juice. Have a newly rebuilt head right now that is 2.7 ohms and I only using 3.5 V on it.

I've been able to resolve all my issues with the nova. Some (more) of my observations:

Cleaning the head and coil before first use seems to help. I had a silicone taste that is now completely gone, even with the quite mild juices I usually use. It's probable that the off taste would have gone away on its own over time. However, cheap vodka seems to be my friend :) It's very easy to clean and dry burn the head.

As many others are saying, you need to keep the wicks saturated, and as the liquid level goes down below the top of the wicks, it's necessary to keep the unit on its side, so the top of at least one side of the wick is touching juice. I can vape the thing to almost empty, and as long as I'm careful to make sure the wicks are saturated before each hit, I get a good one, every time.

I had trimmed the wick on two of the heads, but in retrospect, I don't think that was necessary.

I'm using 50/50 juice, and am still loving the 1.8 head around 3.3v. If I go much over that, it does seem to get a little dry and burnt-tasting, unless I leave big pauses between puffs. I'm going to try some 70/30 and see if if that works differently, though I'm quite satisfied with the way it is.

I just started using the 2.8 ohm head and it does measure around that resistance, maybe a little low, though interestingly, it vapes great all the way down to 3v and seems to perform best at about 3.5v -- odd -- though I like it!

Unlike the 2.4 and 1.8 heads which I trimmed a little and "fluffed", the 2.8 head is working great as-is (except for a boil in distilled water then a soak in vodka and a few dry burns)

I was originally interested in the nova because of its rebuildableness and ease of cleaning. I've yet to explore that possibility, but I definitely will!

Easiest solution to the wicking problem is to make the slot wider. Some mill out their heads, but a simple needle file does the job in 2-3 minutes.

This is from the rebuild thread, but there is nothing stopping you getting it done with a new head before 1st use.
