Vmax rev 4, Wont Fire. What can I do?

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can do?

Vmax rev 4 with blue screen, about 30 days old. Bought from GV. Yesterday it started having F1 and F2 errors at random regardless of what was on top of the vmax. All the devices that would give the error message work just fine on my lavatube. The 510 connection looks to be clean... as I have cleaned it. Yesterday it would give a few F1,F2 error ut still work. Today I get no errors but it seems nothing is making a connection as it wont display the ohms of the carto.

Is it possible that the post that makes the connection got pushed down some how?

Is there anything I can do? Or did I spend $100 plus on a charger and batteries on a PV that lasted 30 days?

Anyone know how long GV stands behind there products for? I checked the "Shipping and Returns" section on the web site and it does not say.

I think the Smoktech warantee on the vmax is 6 months.

Thanks for the PM Yiddle. I will post in the Vmax owners thread if I have to in a couple days. I have also posted in the APV forum section and dont want to post this issue in a 3rd area as that may be over kill.

I have a GV ticket open. I have also sent an email to info@smoktech.com. I cant find any info on support or warranty info on smoktechs web page.

I have a few F1 and f2s now, for the f1 error I was getting I found a simple fix. I found just 2 coils touching in a stardust head, I opened the gap with a needle and the 2.4 head came back 2.0 works for me... F1 reads too high an ohm for the chip to safely work so cuts you off. this error is most often in the coils wire itself.

For the f2 it's to low an ohm to start the chip, I fix this (usually no connection read) by moving the pin on the carto/tank first, then trying for the vmax's center pin carefully.

Switching types of cartos/tanks you use will constantly move your pins around, best advice I can give is find what you like on the v max and stick to that, in this way you will be moving pins a lot less.
Whether it's a lil ciggie an ego or a APV these pins can get fussy and are safe to move just a tad... hope that helps ..

Also a tip for any PV... never overtighten the carto/tank on them... screw them down to where they just make contact and snug them up just a little bit further.
