Tried a lot of different brands,Blu,V2,Century 21, victory, blah blah blah. They all sucked. I just ordered the Volcano Inferno. I like the idea of loading my juice in a tank instead of refilling the fiber filled carts. Am on the path or doomed to fail again?
My current unit is a Volcano Lavatube. Never used (or even seen) the Inferno, but judging by the specifications (one 650 mah and one 900 mah battery), it should definitely be a big step up from where you were.
If you're a heavy vapor like me, you will go through a couple of battery charges a day on these. If you have a desk job or are otherwise able to keep them plugged in via the USB passthrough for a large percentage of the time, then you might just get a full day's use out of one.
The tank is a huge step up. I got tired of the tiny little fiber-filled carts almost immediately, and switched to an eGo-C tank (and very small unit of marginal design) and then a Vivi Nova, which is what I use now. I've not personally tried a tank of the specific design that Volcano offers, but it appears to be similar to a very common design which you'll find branded as Boge, Smoketech, etc. Ironically, that tank is internally almost identical to a common fiber-fill cart, but with a huge reservoir constantly topping it off through a little hole in the side. You'll still have to refill throughout the day, but vapor production in between refills should be
MUCH more consistent than what you've been experiencing with the cheapie little starter-carts.
Welcome aboard, and good luck, man. It took me a while to find something that really worked well too, but it's been over two years since I had a cigarette at this point. Sucks a bit at first, but trust that you'll find your comfort zone.
