Volcano Ecig thread question

Recently my girlfriend purchased a Volcano Inferno kit at a local mall kiosk. It looks like a pretty solid device. However, the parts are pricey and both her and I are looking for replacements. I believe the batteries she got are 510 thread but I'm not sure. I know her tank fits on my ego batteries, but my tanks do not fit on hers.

So we don't want the batteries to go to waste. We just want other less pricey options that she can use with her current setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh the kiosk people have no idea what I am talking about. They just want us to keep buying their tanks.

I've no experience with this kit - never heard of it, in fact! - but I'll make some observations.

The batteries, although they look like eGos, appear to just have 510 threading. This would explain why her tanks fit on your eGo batteries, as eGos have outside (eGo) threading and inner 510 threading, but not vice-versa.

It looks like she'd be able to use any tanks that have a 510 connection - and there's a load of them!

Alternatively, you can purchase a 510-to-eGo connector piece, and then she'll be able to use eGo threaded tanks; though you might want an eGo "beauty ring" for aesthetic purposes.

That was my observation as well. I just wanted a little confirmation before I purchased anything other than "her" brand products.

I had never heard of this brand either until the kiosk popped up in our local mall. She bought on a whim (paid $80 for basic kit) which is double what I paid for mine when I first started.

I use Kanger T3S tanks, ego threaded. Her batteries are internal thread only. So her batteries are useless on anything I have. But her tank will work on my ego batteries (using the internal threads).

Sorry, just reread the post and must have gotten that mixed up. You are correct in that 510 threads are what's in common. A 510-Ego adapter should in turn allow you both to use the same ego threaded tanks.

Yeah... Volcano only uses a 510 connection but still has a sleeve that comes down on there tanks that won't work with ego threaded devices or anything else. They did that by design on purpose to keep people coming back. The only Volcano product that is even worth getting would be the Lavatube. The only things really to do at this point is for you to buy different toppers somewhere else with standard 510 threading.

Hello As mentioned you'll have the best luck with 510 threaded stuff for the inferno. I used to use these eGo tanks on mine eGo 510 Dual Coil Tank Cartomizer, 2.5ml, Purple They can be leaky though
