Volcano Inferno auto battery shut off feature question

Hey,

I was told before I ordered this kit that the battery did NOT have a auto shut off feature...that I could as long as a drag as I wanted to before releasing the battery button...this is not true! It seems to have a 9 or 10 second timer attached to the button once the button has been activated.

Can anyone comment who has this kit (it's the newest Inferno kit not the older one.)
