I have been using V2 for the past year... The look a like e-cig deal. I am getting tired of constantly charging my batt & filling my carts. I also want a better vape experience; bigger vape cloud, harsher throat hit, ect ... I have research both the new volcano inferno tube tank & some joytech eGo batts. I am really leaning towards the inferno as it looks like it will fit my needs. Then again, I have heard the joytech's are great too... I can't decide!!!

Anyone with some experience on either, please give your experience to help me decide the new starter kit I will be getting...

thanks for the help!

I have no experience with an inferno, but the eGo starter kits are almost the defacto standard for recommendations to people moving up from cigarette sized ecigs. This eGo based starter kit is probably your best bet for your money currently.

eCig Starter Kit - 1100mah

[h=3]Product Description[/h] eGo CE Series eCig Starter Kit - 1100mah with Variable Voltage Batteries

Contains 1100mah variable voltage batteries. "mah" is the capacity of the battery, the higher the mah the longer the life (and also the longer the battery itself)
Please note: this kit contans Varable Voltage batteries which are generally higher priced due to the technology involved and you will not find a lower priced VV kit out there. This is special for DiscountVapers, made for us and exclsuively to get you a lower price when starting out with electronic cigarettes. It is our hope that you will be pleased with the kit and come back to DV for more vape gear in the future.

This kit is a complete "kit" allowing you to try out e-cigs properly and not be out a ton of money.
This kit does not contain a cheap battery and cartomizer like you would find in a corner store (those are junk). This kit contains our best selling items, eGo batteries (SmokTech) and Vision CE4+ V2 Clearomizers.
With this kit you will be able to open the package and be vaping in minutes, everything is put together for ease of use for first time users.

There are no bells and whistles here, just enough to get you started with a REAL electronic cigarette without any of the guess work.
The difference in the kits is the size of the battery.
This custom kit consists of:

1. (2) eGo 1100 mAh battery
2. (2) CE4+ Clearomizers with Long Wicks (with spring connector for compatibility will all eGo)
3. (1) eGo Case
4. (1) Wall Charger
5. (1) 420mah USB Charging cable
6. (1) 10 ml empty ELiquid Bottle

I use the Volcano Inferno it was my first kit aside from cig-a-likes. However, since reading some of the information here I think I could have gotten the same results going with an eGo and saved myself a little bit of money. I don't regret getting the Inferno but I do have an eGo VV setup I'm waiting on to get here. Should be here any day now.

My Inferno has been great and worked great. If you go with the Inferno I would recommend getting a spare 900mAh battery. The 650mAh battery that came in my kit shorted out after about a week, but since I had a spare 900mAh I didn't bother to get it fixed.

One thing I don't like about it is an issue that pops up now and then with the cartomizers. I don't have experience with other setups so I don't know if it happens to other as well. Now and then a bad cartomizer can short an Inferno battery. If this happens it pretty much kills the battery. Causes it not to function properly ever again. Luckily Volcano has a decent warranty on their products.

No matter what you decide to go with there will be ups and downs with either one.

The vv... Does that mean u can change the voltage? I don't know If I would get bored with these too. I want something that is worth getting, that I can keep for a long while...

VV means variable voltage. You'll have to learn how to use it, according to the resistance of your clearomizer that comes with your kit. A word of advice. Start at the lowest voltage when you first begin to vape, and SLOWLY move up. Take note of the taste of the liquid. If you taste the slightest burning, this is a warning that your about to burn the coil/wick to the trash bin. Turn the VV down a notch, or further. Also, check the status of the coil/wick often to learn which settings work best, or ask in this forums what settings to use. I'm not an expert on this. I do know that higher oms, like 2.5 - 2.6 (resistance) will accept higher voltages, which produces more vapor and maybe more flavor out of your juice. Plus, it also depends on your juice your buying, and the ratio of VG/PG.

Darker sweeter liquids will clog up the wick faster than clearer less sweet liquids IMHO.

Don't throw it against the wall or drop it in the toilet and they should last some time. But, ALWAYS have a backup just in case something happens. Spare battery and whatever your unit uses tank, atty. etc.

I have 3 900mAh batteries, 2 4ml tube tanks and about 30 cartomizers for my Inferno.

That looks like a nice kit. A lot cheaper then the inferno, thanks for the info... Do you have this product? If so how do you like it? I want something that will be an upgrade for me, not something that will be on the same level....

I have a very similar product yes. I have two eGo-C twist batteries, with VV (variable voltage), but I use different but competitive clearomizers, the Kanger T3 bottom coil. The clearomizers that come with this kit are probably just as good, but you might want to grab a few Kangter T3 bottom coil units just to try them out.

Is it an upgrade from what you are using? HECK YES!!! This setup blows away any cigarette sized ecig by leaps and bounds. Your money will be well spent. You'll keep the eGo batteries, but you may move on to a different clearomizer (like the kanger T3) in the near future.

Hi bdeef,
Be aware ego is not the same as Joyetech ego.
If you want Joyetech, make sure they say Joyetech.
Is there a big difference, IDK, to soon for me to say. All my Joyetech batteries from June are still working well.

Any good sites to buy from?

There are all kinds. The site I gave you earlier for the starter kit is a good site, discountvapers.com. They're giving you a fantastic price on a startup kit, hoping to get your repeat business in the future. They claim to have been voted best in customer service too in 2012.

Do you guys recommend I skip the other stuff & go for something with a vv setting?

Many people love vv, like the Twist. But, more people have quit smoking without vv than with. Me, i quit without, did get 2 Twists in late Sept. and after playing around with for some time, find myself not even bothering ''twisting" now. But you might like it?

The ones without the vv setting... Like the inferno

I don't know if the inferno has vv or not. If it's a mod, i'd say it does. If you have the cash, and you want to skip all the way to the best, get a Provari, or Provari mini, plus lots of instructions from the veterans on this site before use. I'm gearing up to get a black satin Provari mini myself. They are about $159 - $179, and are mods.

I agree with you Beretta. If I would have known about the Provari before I started buying I would have saved money in the long run and had a good "made in America'' product. As it is, spent much more getting set-up with this China stuff and wife says I got to wait till some of this stuff "blows up", and its taking longer than i thought.
