Yeah I just don't post and run. I checked today and my thread is closed. I do have a beef and yes e-mailing the vendor telling them their atty failed WITH IN 3 hours of receiving it sucks. Dremelled with a smooth stone to shave the top of the cone to lower the tank in properly. I can see where if I took the thing apart or did some damage. I would have sent back an atty that was 99.9% factory since I just tried fitting the tank in better. The product failed right away and after e-mailing them AND sending a picture of the atty failing, I tried to fix it. Their response was I modified it when it failed off the bat.

That's my modified Atty... I have an issue where I don't really care about getting a refund or a new one I asked for just free shipping since I was going to order more FROM them. Now they wish they could have helped me but I told people about their bad service.

I just know I've gotten better service from every other website out there. $12 atomizer and I spent now 80 buck approx there. I just felt they could have helped out since I e-mail proof and they even said they believe me but if they game me a free atomizer then they would have to replace anyones products that failed to work and they tried to fix it. LOL

I'm sure this will get deleted as friends from volcano are on here and I'm just me. The facts are I got a defective Atomizer that was not modified, nor dremelled, nor anything to alter it when it failed and flooded 3 tanks tips.

Actually, as long as people who aren't supposed to post here (they know who they are) refrain from doing so, and people keep things civil, there is no need to worry about the thread being closed.

Once you post a couple more times, I'll move this to the Reviews of Suppliers forum, and Volcano can post a response if they wish.

It's unfortunate, but atomizers fail and some are just DOA when you get them. I know, it sucks. Before you think that I'm missing the point or that I don't understand, believe me. I do. I've had a couple of attys arrive DOA. I immediately contacted the vendor, but did nothing to the atty until I got a response. The vendors I've dealt with have sent me replacements and didn't ask me to return the bad one. However, most vendors will only replace an atty that's DOA. DOA doesn't mean 3 hours after you've used it. I also deal with another vendor who offers 1 week and 2 week warranties if you choose them.

The return policy should be stated on the vendors web site. At this point, even if they offered some sort of longer warranty, it became void the minute you decided to take a Dremel to it or make any other alterations.

I'm sorry this has caused you so much grief and I wish I could say something more sympathetic.

the problem isn't replacing the atty the problem is instead of sending it in to be replaced you took a dremmel to it which means they cant send it back to the factory to get a refund and thus cant send you a new replacement in the future i would recommend against taking a dremel to anything you plan on returning because i am guessing most places will not take the item back

*on a side note they do send out a return envelope to take back the faulty part if you go through the proper channels

I've been using the same tank for over 2 weeks on 2 different attys. My cousin, her husband and two of my friends have also been using tanks for about the same amount of time. We have had no trouble with any of the tanks or the tank attys. The 5 of us have been placing regular orders with Volcano for 10 months or so. On the extremely rare occasion that we have had a problem it was taken care of quickly and professionally. As far as sending "back an atty that was 99.9% factory" goes, I do not know of anyone who will replace a part that was modified. When it failed is no longer the issue.

There are six companies companies that I order from on a regular basis. Each of them at some point in time have made a mistake on an order. Some of them have even made more than one. When the error was on their part, they all took care of it. If they didn't, I would not still be ordering from them. In the future I would recommend that you do like I do when I get an order in, regardless of who it is from. I check the function of every item and if I find something not working, I call or email the company depending on how their customer service is set up. Trying to fix an item that is under warranty is never a good idea. More often than not, you will not be able to fix it and you will void the warranty.

Sounds to me like you're upset because ONE single item you ordered broke w/in three hours of use. It states on their website that they do not warranty cartomizers or atomizers, so doesn't seem like you did your research when ordering from them. I ordered from them today, and ordered a few cartomizers just in case one or two fail. Our world of PV's is imperfect. You will get duds, you will be unhappy from time to time, but no company should be responsible for replacing something you modified in any way. Would you expect a store you buy clothes from to replace your clothes for you, because you got the wrong size, but then purposely stretched it out to try and make it fit? I should hope not.
