Heya, I got my volt about 2 weeks ago, like the setup, vape and all that good jazz but was wondering whats the lowest OHM cart/clearo that can be used with these. I purchased a pack of 2.6-2.8 Flux Phoenix BC but was wondering if I could use the 2.4-2.6 ones. I love the warmth that comes with the SI carts but really like the Phoenix and the 2.6-2.8 just doesn't seem to have as much warmth. Has anyone tried using 2.4 ohm with Volts and if so did it just drain the batts quick or give any issues like cut out? Thanks.

As much as I love smokeless image, they dont carry these yet and I prefer the Phoenix. The bottom coil phoenix 2.4-2.6 is the only thing I use on the road. You will not notice any significant difference in battery life. If you check out my video, I demonstrate it on the small volt batteries.

I do notice a difference in the warmth of the vapor with the 2.4-2.6. I have tried both and I prefer the lower ohms. If you are used to using a smokeless image clearomizer (which is a top coil) or the 1ml cartos, they have a warmer vape for a reason. With the clearomzier, the coil is on the top, therefore the vapor has less time to cool down before you vape it. The smaller cartos have a warmer vape because they are shorter. The lower ohms on the phoenix make up for the longer tube.

I have recently posted a youtube video teaching how to "top them off" without having to empty it. How to top off a Bottom Coil Phoenix Cartomizer - YouTube

Ahh ok nice just wanted to make sure tyhe lower ohm was ok to use, thanks guys.

On a side note, Mroutlaw you are the reason i got these in the first place, kinda cool that you posted up here too. I was scanning different youtube vids when i saw your review about the volt and the Phoenix. I ordered the carts the same night right after seeing your vid. Keep up the great vids BTW, I know the few you have posted have been a huge help to me. Now I know how to refill em without em being empty, gonna try it out but seems so much easier/better to use your method. Thanks again.

Thank you for the compliment.

I have done the math on the battery life comparing the two different resistances and it's almost the same, I also double checked with SI and they said it won't make a difference either, just don't go lower than 2.4 on the 65mm or 78mm battery
