I bought a pack of 5 of these, I knew they have gotten mixed reviews and some people complained of leaking while others were happy. I watched the video before filling and followed instructions carefully, using the enclosed blunt (21 gauge I think it should be?) So far I have 3 of them opened and 3 leaking. None has survived a third refill in usable condition, and the last one I opened started earlier than the first ones, after vaping less than half a tank.

I am not talking unusable as in 'small beads of liquid may form and mess up an auto battery' unusable, I mean unusable as in if I set it down for a few hours virtually all the liquid has transferred to the napkin.

With my latest attempt I have actually found one way to avoid the leakage! I was watching youtube videos and watched one by a guy that loves these things and he was trying to explain how it worked. He claimed that as long as the seal at the top wasnt damaged then it wouldnt leak, but once that seal was gone it would seep out through the bottom like mine have kept doing. So I tested that by storing the thing upside down. Voila! No more leaks. Ergo I believe I can rule out damage to the top seal during filling, in this case at least.

Several obvious problems with that solution, of course. Dries out the wiks, and cannot set it down even for a moment when attached to a battery. I dont tend to just sit and vape for long periods of time, I take a drag or two and set it down. So this isnt really a practical solution. But maybe it's a clue.

If the gist of what I got from this guy on youtube is right, and the seal *at the top* is really all that stops it from leaking, then by capillary action it is always going to leak, slowly but steadily, when held upright or horizontally, only turning it up so that the liquid drains back out of the atomizer will ever keep it from leaking at least a little.

With manual batteries and a napkin, that could be worked around if the rate was tiny but ~.2ml/hr isnt what I mean by tiny.

The other thing I saw as a clue googling for solutions here was that the wicks on clearomizers are sometimes a problem and need to be stuffed. So I started looking for the wicks on these things... and strangely enough I dont see any. Just a couple of little holes where the liquid feeds into the atomizer. Is it possible the wicks got left off of my CE3s?

Not coming down on SI, their standard cartomizers and juices are by far my favorites. I tried them based on reading happy customers here, and was not disappointed. Just these tiny clearos that are giving me trouble. Still hoping there is something I am missing because if these things would just quit leaking they would be perfect.

Whats up man.. I'm fairly new to vaping and heard good things about volt products so i picked up a 5 pack of these when i started about 3 weeks ago. so far I've used 3 clearomizers on my g6 batteries from halo and i have to say these are by FAR the worst... You get what you pay for with these and they are just garbage. I watched tons of videos on how to use and clean them properly and out of the 5 i had ONE that was legit enough for me to deal with its obnoxious filling process. Not only is the filling of these horrible but i also experienced the same leaking problem you did only after a few fills. I guess you could say at first they worked, but after a day with each on I tossed it because i was just so sick of dealing with them. i don't think you're doing anything wrong i think those are just a horrible product, everything from the threads to the rubber stop.. Good luck finding a good carto, i would recommend the halo mini tank or the v2 liquimax.

I have had the same exact issue my CE3's. They seem okay after the first fill, but after refilling...what a mess. All I can say is it is a good thing I was using manual batteries. I wish SI would fix this or Mr. Outlaw (the one with the vids on all the SI produtcts) could provide a pointer, because these things are wonderful when they are working correctly. :(

Hey, I will try to give those a try. The ones that I have that do work are here btw: KR808D1 CE2 PLUS Clearomizer XL nice price on 'clearance sale' for however long they last I guess. Not having tried yours I cant compare them but the links you gave look like top coil also, is that right? These are ok. Great strong vape, runs through the juice a bit quicker because of that. You do use a needle to fill them but I have no problem with that, they have two openings so whichever one you fill the other acts to let air out. They can take normal use but they will obviously never be something I would throw in a pocket and sit on without worries like I can my carts.

I've said this in like three threads today, but I highly recommend the Halo Triton tank. It fits on SI batteries and the design is great. To my eye, it looks leak-proof. I've been using it daily for a month, traveling with it in my bag or in my pocket and it's never leaked. It has a replaceable coil as well, which is nice (though the coil is supposed to last more than a month and so far it has).
