Volt meter gnomes

Is it just me, or do you too have volt meter gnomes that come in at night and tie your probe wires in knots? Every time I go to use it the wires are a tangled mess.
It's not like I run it through the washer and dryer or something. Gnomes. Gnomes I tell ya.

AHAH yup, i got that goin on too. well i DID have that goin on. i recently realized that me wrapping the leads around the meter itself was destroying my leads. it was a $5 meter so i cant expect much. the leads' wires came loose of the probes and also came loose of the connector to the meter itself. i electrical taped them back and it works so now i just keep the meter in a shoebox so i dont have to wrap the leads to keep it neat.
i did get some new leads from fasttech for super cheap so now ive got backups. and if you check this months Maxim magagine- in the back there is a coupon from harbor freight for a FREE meter. sure its a cheapie, but as always, its nice to have backups.
