Hello i am new here and any responses would be greatly appreciated. I am building a fully mechanical 21700 box today. I have everything figured out except the volt meter. I was wondering how to install it. Is it as simple as positive to positive and negative to negative? I do a decent amount of electrical at work so I'm pretty confident I know what to do but would like some outside input since this is my first mod. Especially since it's mechanical.

Hi and welcome,
Is this a full mech with a mosfet?
Besides removing the battery, how do you plan to turn off the volt meter?
What advantage are you seeking by having a volt meter on a mech?

Cheers

full mech used to be popular here with madvapes kits.they had volt meters that could be added.after using for a while there was no need.you could tell by the way it hit but sure looks good.ban would suck but it would be cool to start building again.

I haven't seen too many voltmeters on full mech mods, most are on either mosfet or PWM mods.

I would just connect it across the battery +/- through a momentary switch, a quick press of the switch will show your battery level, or you can hold it while you fire the mod to see the voltage under load.
