I haven't purchased a volt starter kit yet, but was looking at the new Volt X batteries. my questions are how long do the 600mAh batteries last before needing a recharge? and if I buy the battery, how do I get a cable to charge it or use it as a passthrough? I can't find charging cords on the site. Does a cord come with the battery? or is a charging cord only available with a starter kit? was just wondering, I know the SI sells wall plugs but I don't think they come with the cord. Thanks a lot

I think it's just in the math: The 78mm batt is 320mAh and typically lasts 2-3 hours (depending on how much you vape), so the 650mAh would probably last a little over twice as long. The cable is included. Unless they've already changed them on this new batch, you might try asking for the longer cable, which I think Imagine said they would be able to throw in when available (the one that's been coming with them is only about 2 1/2 feet long).

Also, you can get longer cables on your own (standard 5-pin mini USB, like for digital cameras), but it would void your warranty, so probably best to check with CS to get one of theirs. :)

1. The 600mah should last about 6 hours, give or take. I have the 1300mah and have never run it down completely.
2. It comes with a cable with a usb cord, but no wall wort. I plug it into my computer for charging. It can be used while charging, so yes, it is a passthrough.
3. You don't need a separate kit with this,, just juice and a clearo or some cartos.

I really love mine. I charge it at night and for short periods of time during the day at the computer. The cord is kind of short, but you can get longer cords at best buy for about $5. Since I have the 1300 mah, I haven't had the need to get a longer cord and this is my main pv.

ETA: Wow, great minds think alike, we all answered with similar replies at the same time!

so my best bet would probably moving up to the 900 mAh which would last about 9 hours then? well I was going to buy the 900 mAh 2 clearomizers and a box of blank carto's. That should get me started. Will get the wall adapter and car charger later. Which wall charger should I get with this battery? the cheaper one or the higher voltage one that can power a passthrough? Thanks guys for the quick responses!

That sounds way better than the standard starter kit you were gonna get!
Higher output is always better in case you wanna use it for something else, gives you added power for safety, and won't harm anything. That one doesn't have to be SI's. If you already have one for your cell phone or something, that would work too. :)

lol so you remember me from the other day? yeah I was debating on what to get, and then I realized why not just get the best of the best for my first shot at it. plus it's a lot cheaper to get started then with a starter kit...with everything I need and my coupon code, is under 40 bucks with shipping! Love this place, prices are fantastic!

I hope they start making them in the colors they make the slim batts in..lol

Yeah, me too, tattoodmommy. However, I am very happy with my 1300 X2 in black at the moment.

I have gone up to 3 days without charging, and I've not drained it completely, either. However, I still have extra batteries to get me through the charging time, which is around 4 hours. I usually charge overnight, but I use the 1.5A wall adapter. Works great for me, and I don't worry about it running out during the day at all. I don't like to plug these into my computer, kind of superstitious there, I guess. Anyway, I felt the extra $10 over the 650 was a very good investment, and so far I've been proven right in my own circumstances.

I still can't give up my 78's though, and my collection grows. As does my nicquid stash. And stash of carto boxes. And blanks. And end caps and diamond caps. Battery wraps with silver/chrome batteries to go with them for wrapping. Um... yeah. I thought I threw away this compulsive buying habit a long time ago. Now, I need therapy again.

Now with these batteries do I have to worry about overcharging? or do they stop charging once fully charged? like my blu cig, I couldn't leave it plugged in overnight because if it was done charging I would have to remove it immediatly or it could fry everything inside the PCC pack and the batteries. so this one is safe to leave on the charger after charged?

its perfectly fine for the batteries to leave them on the charger...they will shut off and stop accepting a charge once fully charged...that goes for the standard batts and the X2 batts.

However you should never leave any battery (ecig/camera/cell phone etc) charging unattended.

well thanks so much, that is a really nice feature that it stops charging on it's own, that is what I hated about the blu cigs, if your not paying attention you can fry out your whole system...I'm so excited to make this purchase!

Even though these will stop charging, it is best not to leave the battery charging once it has finished. The sooner you take the battery off the charger once finished, the better. NEVER leave a battery unattended while charging i.e while you sleep or leaving the house as it charges.

I'm also not crazy about using a computer's USB ports to charge anything or use a PT. Use a wall adapter or powered USB hub instead.

If you want to use the X2 as a PT, you will need to use the 1.5 Amp wall adapter - http://smokelessimage.com/accessories/usbwallplug1a.html If you just want to charge it, then any wall adapter rated 500ma will work. You can find them just about anywhere, including WalMart.
