Volt X2 adapter

Hello, all. I think I am posting this in the right place, but who knows. There are seemingly a billion different boards!!!

Anyway, I recently purchased (and still waiting for) a Volt X2 as I have all 808d threaded stuff. I was wondering if there were adapters that I could use in conjunction with the x2 to make it accept 510 tanks/clearos/attys/etc. A true 510 device will be my next purchase, but I thought it would be nice to experiment with some gear on my x2 if possible.

I'm not an expert but I would think you'd need one of these if the X2 is a straight 808 battery.

510-808/901 adapter / 808/901-510 adapter.

However you might have problems if the X2 is an auto:

Is the 808 battery an auto? 510 devices attached with an adapter will only work on 808 manuals.

Actually, that's not true. As long as the top part of the center post (so the part on the atomizer side) is slotted through the center in the same way the bottom of an 808 carto is, then 510 equipment will work just fine on 808 autos. The problem is finding adapters which are slotted properly. Madvapes carries them, and all of the adapters I've received from them have worked fine.

Here is the madvapes one I believe, and it is cheaper, but with shipping who knows...

Ha! If I could "like" a post multiple times I would!

Unhooked is right on the nose. I've used my 510 adapter from MadVapes on both an auto X2 and an Echo, both "sealed", and I've had zero issues.

I use the 901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer Adapter on my X2 so it will accept a CE4. But, if you have a clearo with Ego threading, it may fit without an adapter because the X2 has outside ego type threading.

The x2 outer threading is not the same dia as ego, unfortunately.

Another question about the adapters. Tried looking it up but so many boards came up.

Does using an adapter rather than a native accessory (cart/tank/clearomizer, etc) deteriorate the performance?
