The lighter has a battery in it. You use a cartomizer. It screws into the battery/lighter in the top center where you would normally see a wick in a cigarette lighter. When you close the top you can't see the cartomizer. To charge it you attach the usb cord by screwing it into the connector where the carto goes.

Ummmm....what? Ok from what you are saying....you are smoking the zippo? Huh?? Or does it have a volt type battery that screws in and charges in the zippo, you take it out and attach the carto and vape? I am confused.....just looking at the kit hurts my brain

I got one from another site before SI listed them, I like it, but...
They listed theirs as 1350 ma, I think it was a typo as 350 seams more realistic with the battery life I am getting out of it.
If I had known SI was going to be carrying them I would have waited and got it here.
Looks and feels like a zippo knock off right down to the weight, have to resist the urge to hit the striker every time I open it...
Old habits are hard to kick!
It won't close with the cover cap on the carto but you don't need it when the case is closed anyway.

I didn't know about the Volt Zip Kit till I read this thread. Maybe because I've been staying away from SI's site to avoid temptation....if you know what I mean. :) This looks so cool !!! I had to add one to my order this morning. The Memorial Day Sale has such a generous discount.

The Zip batt will be great for carrying in my pocket when I do yard work or make quick shopping trips. Maybe I should have ordered two!
