The only debunking I've seen is that most vapourisors don't exceed the voltage high enough to cause the formation, but the voltages most guys mention here is way higher than the one's in the reviews. I've only been vaping for 4 days since quitting 40+ cigarettes a day, so trying to get as much info researched as possible while glued to my vapour ........lol

Umm, I don't have personal experience w/ them, but from the impression I got, the device they used - a top-coil CE4 atomizer - was the issue since the 9W created "dry puff conditions" and I'll have to surmise the top coil part's the part couldn't keep up with the power. Since. The gear used my most folk here that push past 15W are designed with higher power in mind- bottom feeders, etc. No one here- I'll assume- enjoys dry puffs and no one here's reporting dry puffing for pleasure, but people are still pushing the power, meaning the "discovered" formaldehydes aren't being released. But that's just my thinking.

I heard that if that amount of formaldehyde was coming out of the ecig that you wouldn't even be able to inhale it because its so toxic.

Soul skin, welcome to ECF :). It's great that you want to learn as much as you can about vaping. We all do! But do try to research the research ... As you can see, many of the "studies" that have been done present very slanted findings, designed to support the anti-vaping point of view. I think many of us believe that vaping is not 100% safe, but we also believe that it is a much better alternative to analogs. Keep reading, and best of luck to you with your vaping journey.

This is not about voltage. Voltage is just one side of what makes something hot or not. Amperage is the other. Without one or the other, there is no electricity. You can get - say 100 watts - with a 1 volt at 100 amp - or with a 10 volt at 10 amp.

Let me make a comparison: Let's design an imaginary machine that makes fries, "eats" them and analyses them for potentially harmful substances. Be it a perfectly fried fry or a fry burnt to a black little lump of charred something - which contains acrylamide and probably a whole host of other questionable substances. The machine would do this happily; regardless of which you feed it. All the while spitting out concerning numbers on levels of substances humans shouldn't ingest. No sane human with sensory system intact would eat the charred bits. You would spit it out - like you would with "charred" vapor.

These "studies" tell us little more than that machines using e-cigs may produce formaldehyde.
