"Under load" refers to taking a voltage measurement while the battery is firing an atty. In this case, the Atty is the load on the battery.

Testing a battery voltage while its sitting out in the open is one thing, but when an atty is pulling current from the batt, the voltage tends to drop. This is testing the battery while "Under Load"

Testing a battery while its "Under load" gives better picture as to the status of its charge, and *can* shed light on overall battery health.

hope this helps! :vapor:

Hello venerated veterans!

I'm hoping someone can explain to me what people mean by "under load" when discussing voltage. I searched for an existing thread that might explain this, but found none. If there is one, please direct me to it. If not, can you help?

Thanks!

Obviously Mend explained it perfectly, the easiest way to test the voltage under load for me is using one of thos voltage meters that screw into your mod and also have a connector on top to allow you to screw in your atty. I believe notcigs and madvapes among many other suppliers sell them, or you can make your own using your multimeter if you go to the modders forum.
