Anyone know how many volts a regular 280-300 Mah battery?

How about in the passthrough?

All the V4L batteries are 3.7 Volt. The Mah Rating is only an indicator of how long it will source the current before it needs charged again.

The Passthrough is generally said to be 5 Volt.

3.7v Nominal. 4.2ish volts fresh off the charger. After about 80% of the charge is exhausted, the voltage will drop quickly and dramatically below 3.7v until it hits the low-voltage cutoff.

The cell is said to be a "3.7v cell" because that is its nominal voltage.
