I have a Evic and have set to display in watts. I have tried several different ohm coils in the cartomizer and always just push up the watts until I get the vape I like. Dont see how the ohm difference in the coils matter.

With your Evic in VW mode, the resistance of the coils "doesn't matter". Your device measures the resistance, and adjusts the voltage to give you the wattage setting that you have selected. If you put on a head with a different resistance, it then adjusts the voltage "under the hood" in order to provide the same wattage as before you swapped heads.

You may prefer the Voltage Mode more. Here you can adjust the voltage to suit the flavor of juice you happen to be using. Individual flavors of most e-liquids have their own "sweet spot" which can be best found in Voltage Mode.

Power or Wattage Mode is for when you are using an all day vape juice and already know what wattage you prefer to vape at.

Then it sounds like your Evic is doing Exactly what it is Supposed to be doing.
