Anyone have any suggestions? Just got my svd itaste today and curious about the the perfect voltage/wattage setup for a 2 ohm tank. Volts or watts or both? Don't want to fry my wicks and don't want the taste of death when I'm vaping up. Seems OK at 3.8 volts with 8 watts but I feel like it could be better...

suggestions???
vape on my friends!!! :vapor:

what ever works best for you... there is no right or wrong answer here.

also

Volts x Amps = Watts

the Watt is a unit of power
volts, amps and ohms are not units of power but rather values (names) assigned to the various properties of electrons flowing through a conductor.
Ohms law (named after Georg Ohm) describes the relationship between Volts, Amps and Ohms.

I recommend a clean burning and fast wicking liquid like 20% VG unflavored.
Start at low watts and work up till vape quality/quantity is sufficient.
If get a hint of burnt taste then dial power down.
More nic provides more throat hit.

I'd add flavored juice in another topper once unflavored topper is tweaked.
Need to have at least one topper on the ready.

it make no difference what so ever if you adjust the volts or the watts. both will give you the same end result.
what about 1.5 ohms? i don't understand your question.

Been up late last few days. Let's try this again, will 1.5ohm perform better for example flavor or vapor or run my battery more etc. And same question for higher ohms. Still getting used to the ohms an wattage stuffs

It all depends on your atomizer, what it can wick and supply air. On several of my atomizers my sweet spot is 15 watts, because that's as much as my regulated mods can put out, on my mech mod my new sweet spot seems to be about 50 watts. My first .3 ohm build and it is kicking my azz. lol, going have to drop my nic level again.

Just keep cranking up the watts till it don't wick properly, then dial it down a tad. If you maxed it out and it's still a good vape, then make sure you have plenty of juice on hand because the higher the watts the more juice one uses.

From what I found is when you're using a simple tank on most VV/VW devices, a coil of 1.8 - 2.5 ohms should be the best and here's why I think so:
1: You don't have to worry much about amp limitations of the mod, allowing a wide range of power/voltage settings
2: building it with 30 gauge wire allows you to cover plenty of wick while allowing the coil to heat up quick enough (fatter wire heats up slower on my regulated mod).

You can for example get a 1.5 ohm coil built with 28 gauge but from I experienced it's less nice because it takes longer to heat up, probably cover less surface of the wick and you might run into amp limitations if you want the most out of a tobacco/nutty liquid.
The different ohms in pre-fab coil heads are more meant to give you a range of wattage on a simple eGo that can only output a single voltage.

Agree with the amp limitations, and can get more watts, generally, out of a 1.8 ohm coil than say a 1 ohm coil on a regulated mod. But if one does use 28 AWG wire using a micro coil, it will heat up just as fast, if not faster, as a 30 AWG coil at the same ohms and get excellent wick coverage. Especially if one is vaping at high watts.

Everything in vape has generalities and exceptions, it all depends on the build style, wick and atomizer, plus a bunch of other stuff, lmao.

Vape long and Prosper.

Your sweet spot will move around all over the place. The best suggestion is to start low, and raise to taste. Depends on the juice, type of atty, coil resistance... Ambient temperature and humidity... Yadda yadda yadda. For example, I pretty much always run 1.4/1.5 ohm micro/cotton build. 1 vendor I run at 10w, the other mainly around 8.5w. Both are 50/50 pg/vg but that's the way I get the lost out if it. Keep plugging away and you'll find where things work best for you.

For me, I find the 1.0 ohm micro coil / cotton works best for an average. If I get a lower nicotine I tend to get a stronger flavor without burning up my throat. Next is to play around with the pg/vg blends but I've not got that far yet. I've been sporting the Nimbus tank since I started, looking to get a Footoon Aqua clone to play with :)

Personally on my juices, my sweet spot tends to lie between 4.5 and 6 watts. This is my preference only. Many prefer higher wattage, but I do not. This is on stock Kanger PT heads 2.2 - 2.6 ohms, no flavor wicks removed, 50/50 juice, Vamo V5 mod. When I start rebuilding heads this week with microcoils and cotton wicks, this will likely change, but for now it's best for me.

i have posted this in the NMF, i found it very helpful. Still need to experiment, but it helped reaffirm my math a lot. Each juice is different, but this is a good place to start.

I use this chart. I don't like the "warmer" vape do I tend to stay around 6.5w usually not higher then 7.5w. But really all depends on the flavor your using too. Start low is a must I would suggest and move up until you find your sweet spot for that specific flavor. I've found I get more/less flavors at different settings.

I run in watt mode in my SVD and v2. You can not run both. It's either run in watts or run in voltage.

HAPPY VAPING!
