Hello once again and welcome to my review of the next device in the Argus family from Voopoo. As the title says the Argus Z is a pod based system that is totally automatic with everything including wattage adjustments and airflow adjustments plus there is no visible display screen or even a on/off button making it a pick it up and vape easy and simple device. Being simple and easy is great but it must also perform well, does the new Voopoo Argus Z make the grade, well that's what well find out in my review.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Being such a easy and simple device to use it didn't surprise me the the Argus Z's packaging would follow suit. The Argus Z rest in a plastic case with the pod, charge cord and owners manual neatly tucked inside the tray underneath the device.

Blue is my favorite color and that's the color that was sent to me, there are 2 shades of Blue with the bottom half being a smooth matt color while the top half is darker and deeper with textured ribs in a diagonal pattern aiding in the grip and nice styling of the Argus Z.

I wanted to charge the device to top off the 900mAh internal battery so I plugged it in and the 3 diagonal LED lights in front lit up with a Blue color that quickly turned to Green when it became fully charged. Surprisingly the light stay illuminated even after it reaches a full charge.

Looking the pod over I confirmed it was the same pod used in the Argus P1 pod device I recently reviewed. The magnetic connection is strong and no magnets are visible on the pod itself but are inside the Argus Z, the 4 airflow pod inlets that have 2 inlets on each side of the pod are in my opinion why the airflow is so smooth and quiet, there is a single auto draw tube inside the Argus Z device next to the 2 Gold coil contact pins between the device's magnets on each side.

Filling the pod is simple because the fill port is large enough to support most juice bottle tips without causing a mess, a word of cation though, because the silicone rubber fill plug's tail is thin don't manhandle it when pulling it open on fill ups.

I am so happy that Voopoo has listened to it's customers and us reviewers by staying with a clear see through pod making it so easy to check how full the pods are. In the picture below you can see one of the reasons this pod vapes so well, there is a inner conical tube designed on the mouthpiece that helps bring all the designs of a smooth auto draw into place.

The diagonal raised ribs on the top portion of the Argus Z really don't serve a purpose in aiding your grip on the device because it's such a featherweight, but I think the ribs really dress up the Argus Z's appearance a great deal. In the picture below you can see that the pod has a full view of juice.

Looking the Argus Z over when first opening it I looked for a airflow intake hole or holes on the device and didn't find any because there are none, instead the Argus Z uses 2 tiny cutout slots located on each side of the device that are barley visible with a quick glance.

I'm going to start with a big con in my opinion that the Argus Z has and it's having no battery strength indictor of any kind. Usually a device will have a series of lights that deplete as the battery becomes drained of power showing the user that it's getting close to the time to recharge it. Even a series of colored lights are sometime used with different colors for the % of power of the internal battery usually being ( Green ) ( Blue ) ( Red ) indicating high, medium and low. I don't know why Voopoo chose to not have one on the Argus Z.

The rest is all good to great with the Argus Z, flavor is very sharp and defined while producing plenty of vapor. Having 4 airflow inlets ( 2 on each side of the pod ) is probably why the draw is so smooth and quiet and the auto draw perform very well giving the user a semi loose MTL vape that doesn't stop in mid draw but finishes all the way through the vape.

The 0.7Ω pod is a great performer with the 17 watts that the device outputs and the only thing I would change is the ability to swap out coils instead of having to change the entire pod when time to do so. In the couple of weeks of use the pod has remained dry with no leakage. I was sent a 2nd pod from Voopoo and think the kit should also have 2 pods included because things happen and if the only one in the kit has a breakdown the user is dead in the water.

The Argus Z makes a perfect starter kit for a new vapor getting some of the best flavor that can be had from such devices, having no buttons, display screen or adjustments to make is a plus. I will recommend the Argus Z 100% because of flavor, 900mAh internal battery, great MTL auto draw and pick up and vape feature making it at worry free effortless vape kit. I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for sending the Argus Z for my review, hopefully I answered all the questions you had about the Argus Z.

    THANK YOU
