Today, VOOPOO continues this leading tradition with the revamped DRAG S3 and DRAG X3, further enhancing design, features, and performance. Both devices share a unified form factor but are designed for distinct users. The DRAG S3, with its dedicated MTL cartridge, offers a maximum output of 60W and a powerful built-in battery, making it truly unsurpassed for MTL users seeking greater compactness but also long battery life. Its counterpart, the DRAG X3 with a dedicated DTL cartridge, is perfect for cloud chasers. It offers a maximum output of 80W and supports an external battery (18650 or 21700). Both devices are fully compatible with the PnP X platform, which offers multiple resistance options with two different, specific cartridges to fully satisfy both MTL and DTL vaping needs. The X3's base has the same semicircular shape as the S3, although it lacks the soft silicone coating. However, the generous size of the base ensures the same stability when placed on surfaces. I received the "Moss Green" version of the Drag X3 for this review. This all-in-one kit features a sturdy, detachable zinc alloy frame. The leatherette trim varies in shape and appearance, from smooth to textured. These exquisite decorations cover the side profile and handle. The surface texture provides a pleasant and varied tactile feedback. On the back of the DRAG X3, you'll find a button that accesses the battery compartment.

► VOOPOO DRAG X3 POD KIT; Compatible with 18650/21700 batteries:
The 5V/2A Type-C charging port is located at the bottom of the front panel. During charging, an animated display activates, allowing you to precisely view both the remaining time and the charge percentage (%). Pressing the previously mentioned button on the handle allows you to access the battery compartment. This solution involves splitting the mod in two. After following the polarity instructions and inserting a 21700 or 18650 cell (with a suitable insulating sleeve), you'll notice how the cell holder is effectively held in place. The parts are joined both mechanically and magnetically, creating a single, perfectly solid body with no play.

The DRAG X3's large and colorful 1.65-inch ultra-HD touchscreen clearly displays all the necessary information, such as the selected mode, wattage, resistance, draw duration, and battery percentage. When the device is idle, the time is displayed in large font; every time you replace the battery, you'll need to reset the clock.

With five clicks, you can turn the mod on and off, and when the main screen is set to the clock, you can unlock the device by swiping up and down, just like on a smartphone. Wattage can be adjusted by long-pressing the current value. A moving meter will appear, which you can slide up or down to adjust the preferred wattage. You can then access the menu by swiping down on the screen. You can choose between three different modes; you can use Smart mode, which automatically selects the ideal wattage to prevent coil burnout. RBA mode allows the user to freely adjust the wattage manually from 5 to 80W in 1W increments. Eco mode optimizes battery life, extending the device's usage time. In the menu, you can adjust the clock or reset the puff count. Three different graphic themes and three different animations are available. The animations can be disabled to save battery power. The Fire button, featuring the "Everest Lab" logo and writing, is generously sized and round. The button protrudes just enough and is convex toward the center for easy detection. The capacitive unlock sensor only responds to contact with human skin and not objects such as keys or fabric. In capacitive lock mode, a light touch of your finger unlocks the device, and it automatically locks upon release, effectively preventing accidental activation when placed in your pocket. DRAG X3 supports a total of three lock/unlock methods: in addition to capacitive unlock, it also offers continuous lock and button unlock/unlock, making the Mod suitable for a variety of usage scenarios. The DRAG X3 chipset supports all the most important safety features, such as: Time-out Protection, Over-Temperature Protection, Over-Charge Protection, Low Battery Protection, Output Over-Current Protection, and Short Circuit Protection. * Consumers will likely be able to access the latest software update on the official VOOPOO website; in this case, the specific USB Type-C cable included with the product is required. The side of the Type-C cable marked "▲" must face down. Keep the device fully charged for this operation.

The top side inside the compartment features two gold-plated contact pins; the metal base serves as a base for the pod and ensures strong magnetic contact.

► VOOPOO DRAG X3 POD KIT; PnP X MTL 5ml Cartridge:
The Drag S3 and Drag X3 come with specific, interchangeable cartridges on both mods. Both cartridges can hold up to 5ml of e-liquid and can be refilled through a side hole protected by the classic silicone grommet. The standard cartridge for the Drag S3 (optional) is called PnP X MTL and features a replaceable 510 drip tip. Airflow is adjusted by rotating the two opposing slots, which each contain three holes on each side. You can precisely select 1, 2, 3 holes, no holes, or a small portion of a hole, allowing for airflow ranging from restricted (MTL) to moderately open (RDL). The standard DRAG X3 cartridge (included) is called the PnP X DTL for "global" vaping and features a replaceable 810 drip tip and two large airflow adjustment slots. We recommend choosing e-liquid with 50%-70% VG and a nicotine content of no more than 10mg/ml. The PnP X platform coils are designed for bottom insertion into the PnP X cartridge. The bottom of the coil will align with the bottom of the pod, leaving no airflow exposed, thus eliminating the possibility of leaks or condensation. According to VooPoo, the PnP X Coils fully meet vapers' expectations, theoretically allowing for more than 100ml of e-liquid before needing to be replaced.

In addition to the PnP X MTL cartridge included in the kit, you can choose from a wide range of PnP cartridges and coils to suit your vaping style as well as any other vaping style.

► VOOPOO DRAG X3 Pod Mod Kit; Vaping Review & Conclusions:

• PnP X 0.3Ω Coil (32-40W):
With the Smart function activated, the Gene TT chip automatically selects the optimal power of 35W for this coil. Of course, you can lower the power or increase it up to a suggested limit of 40W. The mesh's extraordinary responsiveness allows for satisfactory use even at very low power settings, but the recommended 35W seems to be the perfect balance between performance, flavor, and longevity, whether using an 18650 or 21700 cell. Vaporization is always smooth and spitting-free. The airflow adjustment at 2/3 open is perfect, but by restricting the airflow, the heat generated remains perfectly manageable without causing any discomfort to the lips.

• PnP X 0.15Ω Coil (60-80W):
With the Smart function activated, the Gene TT chip automatically selects the optimal power of 65W for this coil. Of course, you can lower the power or increase it up to the maximum limit of 80W. The extraordinary responsiveness of the mesh allows for satisfactory use even at significantly lower power settings, but the recommended 65W seems to be truly perfect for the best balance between performance and battery life. DTL enthusiasts can fully open the airflow without losing flavor, allowing for truly deep draws and large clouds of vapor. By slightly closing the airflow, vapers will always get a smooth, clean draw without spitting. The flavor is truly robust and concentrated compared to other types of coils I typically use. The heat generated by the PnP X tank is never excessive. The 21700 cell is the most suitable for this coil because it generally has a greater energy reserve than the smaller 18650 cell.

Like the S3, the DRAG X3 is a truly valuable and high-performance device. In this case, the mod features a large, bright HD touchscreen with an advanced interface reminiscent of smartphones. The detachable frame for inserting the cell (18650-21700) features solid mechanical connections and a powerful magnetic attraction between the two parts. This system is truly innovative and high-quality. Various cartridge and coil options are available for this kit to fully satisfy every type of MTL or DTL user. Congratulations to VOOPOO.
