Vortex!!

Just got my pack of Vortex last night. Trying them out now!

As usual I have bad luck with new things So after filling and letting it sit for a few minutes, Went to vape it and I'm getting burning taste. Going to give it a few puffs to try and get things going. Granted I am using a 5v GLV2 but the ohms shouldnt be an issue here, As stated in someones Resistance testing on the GLV.

I could just be an idiot when it comes to these =( I dont know but still getting burnt taste!

Seems that in the other Vortex threads, the best is low voltage (3.2-3.7), with other 5v users reporting a burnt taste.

Here are the results of the test:

CISCO 1.5 306 1.22 OHM - 3.90V = 12.4 WATTS
CISCO 1.5 510 1.52 OHM - 4.24V = 11.8 WATTS
CISCO 2.0 510 1.96 OHM - 4.74V = 11.4 WATTS
BOGE/LX CARTO 2.87 OHM - 5.47V = 10.4 WATTS
SLB LR 901 1.87 OHM - 4.67V = 11.6 WATTS
??? LR 801 1.45 OHM - 4.17V = 11.99 WATTS
V4L COOLCART 3.31 OHM - 5.67V = 9.71 WATTS
V4L CARTO 2.29 OHM - 5.0V = 10.9 WATTS
MEGA CARTO 2.71 OHM - 5.27V = 10.25 WATTS

Resistance shouldnt matter in my case. Which is why I am a little confused. Going to check the readings myself when I get to work and see what the output is.

yes it does and dont use these at high volts, we have said over and over that these are for 4.2 volts and below, so if your suing it above that and getting a burnt taste then its on you and no the carto, im not really concerned about what other carts can go to 5v, the vortex is meant for 4.2 and below.

I'm having a hard time with these at 3.7V.

Great Lakes Vapor,,,great mods....super mini is a 3.7 volt small mod, its really cool...i got the GLV2 5 volt. but have found my sweet spot it 3.7 volt altho the GLV2 was a major part of being able to get off ciggys

Nice to know that these should be only used at the lower volts, it wasn't tasting too good on my pt, but is better on my ego..
