Hey now, I haven't disappeared guys... Now seems like a good time to tell you my moving story.
I started running VaporNine from a studio apartment, in which I had a seven foot tall storage rack full of liquids and cartridges, and boxes of starter kits taking up the space on the stove and on top of the refrigerator. I hope this doesn't turn anybody off to the products, but your starter kit was probably sitting on top of a burner at some point.
It was quite a funny sight, but I was pretty determined with the whole ordeal and had to make it work no matter the space constraint. I say it was like e-cig boot camp..If I could function fairly well in that environment, then it's all going to be easy from here forward
Toward the beginning of the month I started looking for a bigger place, and looking to grow the business, called up an old friend of mine from Gainesville and told him that if he was willing that he should come down here to help out that he would have at least a part time job and a good opportunity to be a part of a business I love. Told him he wouldn't be making much for now, and might even have to get another job to start out, but that we had a good opportunity with this.
He said he was in, and I started looking for a house. After looking around a bit, found a place for rent where I could have a real office space.
Now here's the funny part where it got a bit chaotic... I started moving in last week and a bit over the weekend. I have the new office set up, and called on Saturday to have the internet hooked up. The lady on the phone told me it would be ready Monday, so I moved the entire operation, label printers, storage racks, etc to the new place. Meanwhile I told everyone that business should be going on as usual despite the move.
Well, the internet guy didn't show up yesterday and ends up that he was supposed to show up today... Well, when I woke up this morning I noticed the power was out and I called the company, they told me it would be back on tomorrow... Meanwhile, the internet guy shows up and hooks up internet in my dark and non-air conditioned office...
So, not one to leave anybody hanging, I moved all my computer stuff back to the studio (it's only a 15 minute drive) so I could at least print the labels and order slips... Then I drove back across town to the new location so I could pack the orders and get them to the post office despite there being no power.
Hey, you don't need electricity to pack
juice and starter kits! (But you do need it to test pass
throughs...let me know if you have any problems and I'll take care of you)
Got the orders out today as promised, but it's been a rather busy day to say the least!
Right now, I am typing to you from the floor of an empty studio and find this moving adventure to have been quite amusing. We'll be 100% operational tomorrow.
Regarding the contest, congrats to the winners and sorry I've not been here to chat quite as often as usual. I'll get it all squared away tomorrow
