Do you know if Bill Goodshall is a republican?

Not sure that matters here. For our purposes, he is pro - vape.
Understand your point though. Thinking vaping cuts across all lines but one. Does for me and it's the "these things got me and keep me off stinkys, don't tax them or take them away line.

I think all bill was saying was that Romney would be the most likely candidate to drop the deeming regulation attempt all together. Obama's administration is part of the people pushing for it, but as Bill was saying, the FDA lawyers are probably starting to see how much of a legal battle they'll have on their hands if they do regulate under chapter 9. I don't know if you listened to the whole podcast, but this would include labeling any company that produces things from a battery to the packaging a tobacco manufacturer who is subject to chapter 9 regulations. I think it'll be a hard fight even if they do do deeming regulations. What Bill is saying is that a vote for Romney is a more sure thing that they won't issue the deeming regulation in the first place I personally don't agree enough on other issues with Romney for this to make an impact on my overall vote.
