Ok so I sent a forum member a money order for a mod he said he made and would send me and now I get no responce e-mail or PM wise ( Really cool of people to steal from the handicapped ) , Now that im done venting about getting ripped off I'm back to looking for a battery mod that will last me a 12 hour shift at work. I use 3 charges of 510 batterys a day for work. How would the VP-1 hold up for me battery wise? How durable is the device? Any and all advice ( Good And Bad ) would be great.

Also I have been looking at the Protege.
But I really would like to have something with an LED.

Had a vp1 and got about the same battery life as a 510 manual battery. Carried around a 4 pack of batteries with me and it still wasnt enough to last me wake up to bed time sometimes. 14500 in a vp2 or a protege lasts me all day or near all day. sometimes I replace the battery towards the end of the day. Best compromise between size and battery life - 14500.

Silver bullet, prodigy, and a few others use the 18650 at 3.7v and the battery lasts me 2 days. Quite a bit larger than the 14500 battery mods though.

I use one of my 14500 mods when out and about and my larger mods for 6v via cr123a batts.

If you don't mind carrying around a zucchini with you all day, go for one of the 18650 mods.
If you want something smaller that will still last 5 hours heavy vaping, go with a 14500 mod.

you could just save yourself some money and buy a few more 510 batts.

Well I have Parkinson's disease and I find my self picking my 510 up from the floor more then anything else so something that would be easy to hold onto would be better but I'm also not looking towards having a 10 pound weight in my pocket. Thats why when someone said they would make me a AA-nicostick with an LED for $20.00 I jumped on it but that din't work out all that good. :grr:

Send a PM to cybervex. He makes Nicostick mods that are very nicely put together. He also sells some that have USB charging (like a Janty Stick) that can be used as a passthrough for when you're sitting at your computer. They take 14500 900mAh batteries and can last a while. Also, he's honest and reliable. I've bought a couple of mods from him, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. He makes them to order. Check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/video-reviews/43943-bartleby-pv-review.html

I like the Nicostick mods. They're small, light, and easily fixable if something happens. I also like the on/off switch, so it doesn't accidentally go off in your pocket.

Sorry to hear about any bad experiences you have had with others. For the most part, folks around here are pretty reliable.

If you sent a postal money order to someone then you should have a pretty good chance of nailing the person with mail fraud. Federal crime, that one. Furthermore, you should be able to get your money back, though it might take a while.

"To report a fraud complaint, call the Fraud Complaint Hotline at 1-800-372-8347 or visit the U.S. Postal Inspection Service Web site at www.usps.com/postalinspectors."

This is a classic proof that a good samaritan still gets a bad rap!!!

So you mailed your money order on 11-2-09 after work around 3PM est. Did you expect that I would get the mail soon after??? 11-5-09 has come and gone and your money order has not arrived yet... Does any forum member or for that matter, any vendor ship their products before payment has been received? Unless you have established your credit, NO ONE will ship before payment is made. I informed you that I will still test the mod before I ship it to you!!!

You sure made it sound like I was a crook. You did not explain the situation on your post that it has only been ONE day that had past since you mailed your check!

Needless to say, I DID send your mod out 11-05-09 priority mail. I DO NOT need your money!!! I WON'T get rich taking your money (FULL $20)! I was upfront with you when you asked how much the parts cost, Under $10 and I suggested Priority Mail service since packaging material is provided for free, then you offered $20. I never did acknowledge your offer for payment because deep down in me, I was doing it for free. I prefer to surprise people. I am a firm believer of PAY IT FORWARD...

I am very much aware of mail fraud. I have a circle of professional friends. $20 is not worth any hassle.

A full 24 hours has past and have not received a reply from you nor a retraction from your post. An apology to everyone in your post would be appropriate for misleading them. I guess, this is about the same amount of time you have given me when you started this thread.

Anyone who is smart enough can figure out who that forum member is from your previous posts!!! I do not think that your eagerness for your self gratification of your hobby justifies damaging other peoples reputation especially when the motive was pure.

When I ordered from another forum member, it took him a while before he shipped the items to me. That of course delayed the whole process of making the mod. He had my money for a while and yet I did not complain. You had just mailed your money order the day before and you started bad mouthing me... WHY? Because I was not able to be at your becking call... I requested to confirm receipt of my paypal payment and never got a reply until he shipped my order. I did not see any problems there! I have FAITH in people.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding. My hopes of stepping up to the plate to help a disabled person now has a bad taste in my mouth.

I am sorry, but I do have a life outside this forum.

This is to be considered my retraction. And I do apologies.

Mod's please delete this whole thread. I over reacted and I'm sorry.

Doubledot your mod shall be sent back when it arives please send it to someone more deseriving.

Now much more I can say.

Doubledot is 100% right Im sorry.

Please feel free to rip me a new ... . But after this post I'll most likly not be coming around this great forum anymore because I made my self look like an ... and prefer to just walk away rather then deal with trying to save face and being ragged on. So if I don't respond to anyone it's because I'm no longer coming to the forum.

OK, so you made a whopper of a mistake and then you retracted your overdone tirade, and now you continue the drama by hiding from the forum. Just move forward. Lots of people have overreacted on this forum. At least you apologized. Learn from your mistake, and participate in the forum with class.

Honestly, nobody is going to remember you, and I'm sure only a few people have even read this thread.

At the very least, just change your avatar. I'm replying to your post and I don't even know your name...but I'd remember your avatar. I don't see a reason why people would look down on your or that you'd need to save face, but if you feel that way, then just do what I said.

edit: Going through 3 510 batteries in 12 hours is really a very very low amount. I go through like 6 or 7 510 batteries in about 12 hours. Any battery mod you get will last you a long time (12 hours, probably) based on that statement.

Forums are meant to be for sharing... Please keep the MOD. Do not send it back since shipping is eating up the value... It should be a reminder to you that most people have good intensions, just give them a chance.

I appplaud you. Disabled or not - YOU STOOD UP! I have seen other threads with really bad outcome.

It is human nature at its best to over-react and get excited about something. The most important thing is that for people recognize their mistake, accept it, then correct it and MOVE ON.

Do not leave this forum because of this incident. You need it as it needs you! Let's FORGIVE and FORGET. I have.

Hey Loki,

Don't go away, you are good person to deal with and I know this because we have traded and you are an honest person to deal with. It is easy to make a mistake and harder to admit it. Doubledot has accepted your apology, and that was a nice gesture as well.

Loki, I tried sending you a pm to tell you I have sent you the bottle of rum and the ecopure for you to try. I hope you like it its different than what you've been using. regular flavor 20 mg.

I hope to see you back on the boards, decent people make mistakes and really this wasn't that bad.

Hope your well,

Iambuza
