Y'know, there's another benefit to having a dual battery device. I saw a link to battery lifef that plotted the charge life of batteries, and the less that they are discharged before charging, the greater the number of charges they'll take. 400-500 for fully discharged batteries, 650-700 charges at 50% discharge and 1400 or so at 10% discharge. With the new DNA 40 chips, my Vapor Flask is discharging at about 10% daily on average, so I see my entire setup lasting for years--theoretically...a nice bit of piece of mind, should the zombies inhabit the wourld, or I have a week long business trip. My Ni200 coils are nearly permanent, except for cleaning, my tanks are huge compared to when I started vaping, so all I need is rayon--weightless and available.

Vaporshark's are a quality device but anything that cost that kind of $$ should be , my main issue with them is their crazy service prices . $25.00 just to look at it , $80.00 to do a repair ,doesn't matter how simple the repair is , $99.00 to pop a new chip in there .

Lots of people are buying the chip and installing it in a Hana enclosure , with a cradle they are extremely clean and well under $100.00 in total parts .

The VS quality is inferior to the XPV. The VS comes with a cheap springloaded 510, which is chromed brass.

It's actually gold plated. I would definitely prefer a different method of adjustment (such as a screw that doesn't spin freely/needs to be adjusted with a screwdriver), but at least they plated it right.

I was thinking about the threads. The pin itself is fine.

Edit: the threads are chromed brass, not the pin.

Not a fan of the xpv form wise, looks well built and pretty cool color options. Plus I want the ability to change batteries and the wireless charging on the VS is nice.

Yeah, I can see that the XPV is not that attractive form wise. It's like a square tube mod which is about as tall as a Provari in 18650. I like it though.

The formfactor is what's really great about the VS. The new battery door is great too, and it is a breeze to switch out batteries.

I got both, and I like what both has got going for them. I just wish the VS had a better 510.

I personally like that Vaporshark publishes their available services, not many mod makers do that. When you back out the cost of the parts they do include, and the return shipping, their charges seem pretty reasonable to me.

$25 Diagnostic includes a single part replacement (except DNA PCB) and return shipping
rDNA Diagnostic - Mechs / Mods - Advanced

$80 "blown board/water damage" Repair includes DNA PCB and charging PCB replacement and return shipping
rDNA Repair - Mechs / Mods - Advanced

$99.99 Upgrade includes new DNA40 chip and return of old DNA30 chip and return shipping
rDNA Upgrade - Mechs / Mods - Advanced
