VTC5 Shortage?

Is it just me or are the VTC5's really hard to find right now? I searched all over the net and could not find to many places with them in stock let alone at a decent Price

Have you been not perusing this forum lately?

Sony batteries have been a hot topic of discussion for about 3 weeks. Rumors that Sony hasn't made VTC batteries for several years and the ones that have been on the market are not actually made by Sony. Then we read that Sony has been making them, but that they were never intended for general consumer use. Also, the plant that was making them had to shut down because of the nuclear power plant accident last year and a new facility in the Phillipines is just now nearing 100% capacity.

All of this information has created a shopping frenzy to scoop up all available Sony VTC batteries. My guess is that they will always be available, if only sporatically. Until another battery manufacturer comes out with an equal or better battery I'd expect for this to continue.

Yes I did read the reddit post that Sony was not the manufacture but never put 2&2 together, some time I can't see the forest for the trees

I just checked my normal ebay retailer (Has a B&M Store, Few of them actually plus online store) Ive gotten all my batteries from there.. All Authentic.
I go to reorder my usual 2 batteries for 22 dollars and BAM, Price is 99.99 for two vtc5s..
I start checking all my secondary location and there all out of stock.

I read the article andi know the deal BUT geez.

Is this gonna be the new price do to limited or no stock left??

I hope not! Triangle vapes used to sell them for 9 bucks and vapourdna 3 for 30 bucks at 2 for 99.99 that quite a mark up
