Wow lots of varying watts here. I guess I'll start at 6.

Local shop has VTR for $110, I got mine on ebay for $75 shipped

Don't rule out using the Volts feature. Sometimes the half watt increment can be too much or too little of adjustment. Flip it to voltage and see if you find a spot you like better. Voltage will sometimes need adjusted more often then wattage, but whats a dial spin a couple times to hold the perfect flavor/vapor mix for your taste.

I use 3.8 volts now using my Smok battery

What wattage do you run on a daily basis? I'm not the kind of guy who is going to mess with it every day. Just want a good vapor with NO burnt taste. That drives me crazy.

What volt/watt is the best to use? I run on 3.8 volts now.

For single coil, around 5 watts;
for dual coil, I suppose 5 watts per coil so that's 10 watts.

If you are using 3.8 volts, assuming its a 2 ohm coil, that works out to 7.6 watts.

For the sweeter Vapes I like to run it @ 7.5 to 8.5 watts, everything else tobaccos and my menthols tends to have a "fuller" flavor around 9.0 to 10.5 watts.. I never had top venture past 10.5 yet.... been running 2.0 ohm coils in a protank 2...

Super sweet juices at higher watts, can, depending on the topper being used, burn badly and easily therefore it could essentially "taint" the entire tank of juice. I think that's what was trying to be implied. I could be wrong though.

I always recommend start at the lowest and just keep bumping up watts/volts until you get a bad taste, then go back down to what you liked the best. This method has worked awesome for me to find what each new juice I try likes.

.

Yeah I've noticed that with this current juice I'm using. I filled my Nautilus with 5 ML of it, and I'm down to 2.5 ml left and the taste has been altered dramatically. It's not bad, just not nearly as good as it was. I just ordered some juice from Pink Spot. Hoping those will be better

Not trying to set anybody up, just sharing what I have found to work for me!!! And when I say sweeter vapes, I'm talking more of the fruity vapes, watermelons/ peaches/ grape... That wattage works for me no tainted tanks whatsoever!!! And zero burning with the extra flavor wicks removed from the protank 2...
