hey amanda, when it stops working, does the button flash?
about how much juice in ml does it last? say 1 tank is 3ml.
I don't have the VV, but from what others have said, it lasts about 1 tank, which is what a 650mah lasts for.
I've had two defective 1300mah batteries from halo, they lasted 1 tank then died (should last 2 when new), didn't flash to say they were empty, couldn't turn them on with 5 presses.
they charged OK, and then the same thing would happen, 1 tank, dead.

My vv last a whole day ( at least 10hrs). I vape a lot, maybe two tank so in a day. It stays strong the whole time, even to the last drag. I've noticed that the higher the voltage is the faster tanks go, could this maybe be your problem or maybe to high of a resistance coil?

Chesty, you should pick one up! I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and I love it. Using the vv then going back to my 650, I can tell the difference in power.

It probably lasted around 3/4 of a tank? I was messing around with flavors, so most likely it was around 3.8 with quick bursts of 4.2 on a new coil. And I use the standard coil that comes in the clearomizers. I really really love this vv, but mine has never lasted a whole day - and I don't always chain vape:vapor:

Yes, Chesty, the button does flash when it's out.

i should, but I just bought two 1300mahs a month ago. Maybe next year.
I'm not that interested in chasing clouds though, as you say, the higher the voltage, the more juice you go through, so then to keep the same nic blood level you need to lower the nic level of the juice, and you spend twice as much in juice as you were before.

It's not about the clouds for me - but you should taste Belgian Cocoa on the vv - much, much easier to keep it from getting that burned funky taste it can take on on a regular battery...

Yeah, It's hard to judge ml when youl're changing tanks all the time, but measuring battery life in hours doesn't work. At least yours flashes when empty, so that part is working OK. If you can manage it, vape one tank until empty, and when you want a change of flavours, use a different battery with a different tank.

I'll try that today, thanks!

Amanda,
My VV lasts about as long as the 650 regular battery, maybe a bit less. And I have 2 of them, and they are the same. I figure both wouldn't be defective. It is hard to tell, but mine seems to last all day. Yours do seem wrong.

And I never have mine above 4.3, except one or two toots just to see. I'm usually on 3.8 or a bit higher. Belgium is lower, about 3.5~3.6

If the VV was just a constant 3.8, it'd still be worth it, as it gives 3.8 from off the charger till it dies/blinks.

General VV theory in hopefully laypersons terms...

The output of a standard battery used for our PVs is around 3.8 volts. In order to bump up that voltage to get it over the normal you have circuitry in the battery that will draw more power from the battery. When you draw more power from the battery the charge will not last as long. Ohms law E=I*R voltage (E)= current (I) times resistance (R). Increase the ohms of the coil and less current will be needed to produce the voltage. This is why Halo recommends using higher ohm coils with the VV. You do have a tradeoff where the heat produced by the coil will be less the higher the ohms without turning up the voltage... Catch 22...

That all being said, Amanda your VV should last longer than 2 hours. Cleaning may help as there may be some gunk between the center pin on the battery and the inner threads which cause it to work harder to get you vaping. This also may explain why your non Halo tank is not working with the VV but is with the standard 650mah batteries. Hopefully it's not a defective battery...

Thanks, gopher_byrd....it's been over 40 years since I visited Ohms Law, and it reminds me that I should check whether my highschooler has covered this yet in her physics class:blink: I fiddled with the pin on the adaptor, so might try it again on the VV after I've given it a thorough cleaning (I know I had an old toothbrush somewhere!).

I get one full day out of my VV with moderate use which is around one full tank, 2 days if I don't use it much. I usually set it and forget it @3.8volts. These defective battery threads lately have me a bit worried about Halo's quality control. I have a defective button on my 1300mah.

After cleaning the contact if it still isn't working, they are going to ask you to send the battery back via Priority mail USPS which is about $5-6. Which is a 25% up charge on $20, plus the downtime and inconvenience to get the working product you ordered in the first place. Their customer service is fairly good, but if they sent a bad product, I feel like they should at least eat the addition re-shipping charges.

You will have the option of a refund or exchange. The warranty period is 60 days from purchase.

The vv battery is a bit more than the others, so I'll have to see. I cleaned it as suggested today and then recharged. Put on a full tank of Bryce's Vanilla Custard which I can easily vape all night - so I'll see what happens! They should absolutely not charge for defective returns. I returned an Iclear today which was defective and the company send me a prepaid return shipping label.

A tissue and a drinking straw works great to clean the "moat" at the top of Triton Batteries...

I have 4 Tritons and 1 VV battery. I use them all rotating them and I only have to start charging them after 5 or 6 days. I have a routine each time they need charging. Before I charge them I clean the threads and everything with alcohol so I don't gunk up the USB charger. I also clean my tank threads the same way. I also have 2 G6 batteries. And I have 8 old 808 batteries from 2 years ago that still work great.

I still want another VV battery because they vape better even though I still use it on low settings. It vapes consistant. My regular Triton batteries before they need charging they drop off in power and give a cooler vape. Which is really my first warning. LOL I also need to get more mini tanks for sampling.
