How cheap do you want it to be? I just added up what a 2AA box, 510 sealed connector and a horn switch is shipped from MadVapes. $7.56. If you buy the kit it's $11.98 shipped. I didn't include a LED and resistor. I didn't look any further because even though I could find at lest one of those things cheaper elsewhere I would have to pay postage more than once. I tried Good prophets box and didn't like it or their connectors but I order other stuff there. If you were going to make a large quanity that would be a different story.

Robert

ETA missed the vv part but the same thing applies, it's getting late lol!

That. Would. Be. EPIC!

If you go with that idea, pics during and after the building process would be very appreciated, my friend!

Of Course BootSand!!!!. Im running an altoids box mod right now. its not a VV though...its as simple as box mods get. No regulator, no l.e.d., no resistor, ahah its running a 510 on a 18650 tenergy 2600mAh pcb. Ill put pics up of it tomorrow to give you a general idea of how the VV version will look like!
Sean.

Just making sure you're aware that for the madvapes chip you need to use two batteries in series, meaning that you use the negative from battery 1 for the negative lead, hook up the positive of battery 1 to the negative of battery 2 and use the positive of battery 2 for the positive lead. Which voltage adds up in series making it output 8.4 volts to the regulator at full charge. You can get vv on a single battery easily with the ptn04050 but are limited in the output as the mininum is 5 volts (or 4.5-4.8 loaded). Which isn't such a big issue if you use regular or high resistance atties/cartos (3ohms+).

Here's the pic of my 2x 18490 box mod as promised...

The connector is a bit off center cuz I was using a box I intended on having a top button but the crappy bit walked on me. I consider it my prototype for my next one :p
Im a bit of a perfectionist with my electrical/electronics work being an electrician by trade. Them connections gotsa be good!
