Good for you guys.

I'm in the same boat. Opened a ticket two days ago on Saturday. Very polite and diplomatic. I even stated that I understood how we are all fallible and that mistakes get made.

Especially after hoog wrote that he'd look into the snafu, I fully expected an email today.

No such luck for me. Nada. Niente. Nothing. I'll give Customer Service one more day to respond by email. If no email shows up tomorrow, I'll call madvapes on the phone and be somewhat more forceful in sharing my frustration. Not that I'd be abusive or anything, but damn, I do feel left out.

Well, I called them on Friday, I guess I was the first one to order and they had no Idea about the problem. I actually feel kind of bad posting this deal on the "Deals and Steals" thread...oh well. I got a confirmation yesterday, stating that my order was shipped with a return mailer for the parts I received. I'll let you guys know when it gets here.

I got an email response to my ticket today confirming new shipment of my VV box. The email didn't specify a prepaid return mailer in the package but DID ask me to send back the VV Board Kit.

I've decided to keep the kit and will mail Madvapes a check for $8. (Brian at Red Sky Mods will soon be selling a custom build-and-finish-it-yourself kit for his beautiful Mark IV 3.7/6V wood bottom feeders. I'll use the VV board in that.)

Ok, received my package today...and...NO VV BOX MOD AGAIN! Just a voltage indicator that I ordered over the phone when I called to make them aware of the issue. My invoice even says in the notes "Send voltage box mod with return label...and somebody wrote next to it in pen..."Don't worry about it". I called and was told to submit a ticket, again...this time via the website...I ordered a Provari Monday night...I wonder if I'm going to get that first!

I was completely being sarcastic about getting my Provari first, that I ordered 4/25 (due to the fact that it says 2 week waiting period when you order), but, it shipped yesterday and my VV box mod, that I ordered on 4/19 shipped today! Haha...I should be mad, but...Im too excited about my Provari now!

I got my Madvapes VV boxmod today. I've measured the voltage with my multimeter and it does go from 7.4v to 0v. It's a bit hard to adjust because it's hard the turn the knob but that's probably a good thing. It seems to work fine. I set it for 4.0v and it's pretty easy to get it where you want it when you have a multimeter. If you don't it would be guesswork. Now I have to send the vv board kit back to them, but they did include a prepaid return label so all I've got to do is stick the parts in the box they sent the mod in, put the label on it, and drop it off at the post office.

You just aren't having any luck with this one seanmc. Mine works great but I've found that I'm vaping it at the same voltage as my other mods run anyway. I've got a bunch of 3.5 ohm atty's I'm gonna try soon though and they'll probably take about 5.5 or 6v. I've also got a bunch of 1.5 ohm atty's that always burned my juice when I put them on a mod so they'll probably take 3.2v or so. It'll be a fun toy to play with to see if I want to invest in something like the Provari.

Finally received mine today along with my Provari...woo hoo! Unfortunately, the VV Box mod is DOA! Ugh! I opened another ticket asking for store credit instead.

Make sure the batteries are making contact on both ends. That's a common issue with these boxes and the slightly different size variations different batteries can have. Try twisting them around in the box and if you have a multimeter you can test to see if they are making contact.

I haven't done a review of the VV mod on their site yet because I wanted to use it for a while before commenting. One thing I've found out already though is that you don't want to vape this thing hard. One of the components gets really hot and has actually melted the box a little bit on the side between the atty connector and the button. So far it hasn't affected anything other than cosmetics.

It does work good other than that and I've tried it with 1.7 ohm and 3.0 ohm atty's. I used a multimeter to measure each atty and an Ohm's law calculator to figure out what voltage will give me about 8 amps. Then I used the multimeter to set voltage. I can see where the voltage indicator Madvapes sells would be really useful here.

Have the same "melted spot" just below atty connection.
No meter yet--so not sure what Volts i am at--just set about halfway for now.

I live an hour away from Madvapes.. went by there a few weeks ago and bought some stuff... a couple days later a package arrives from them.. I open it and it is the same thing I just bought in person! I checked my debit account and they didn't charge me twice. So I emailed them and told them that they had sent me the same thing I had just bought in person and if they would send a prepaid envelope I would mail it back. (I don't get out that way very often) they emailed me back and wanted me to try to make the package look like it hadn't been opened and mark "return to sender" on it. I replied that I felt uncomfortable taking the box in the post office and act like I hadn't opened it, I didn't think I could make it look unopened. They replied that that was fine.. to just drop it off next time I am there.

The only time I am out that way is if I am actually going to madvapes.. and with the price of gas I cant afford to drive that far out of my way when it's cheaper to just order what I want. So I have the package on my kitchen table, waiting for a day that I happen to be going that way.

what I bought was a box mod diy kit and a soldering iron kit. I haven't built the first one yet (and don't know if I can) and I have no need of two soldering irons.
