I'm still confused by attys and not familiar with vv. With that being said, what kind of atty will be best on the VV? I read on the forum that it is a good idea to get the highest voltage atty the device can run and then turn it down as needed. Is that correct? I'm probably not describing this very well....

The beauty of VV is that it can run almost any ohm atty or carto you throw at it, just dial in your preferred voltage to match the atty. That being said, you will probably want to stay in the 1.5~3.0 range, possibly 3.5 ohms because I believe the VV chips in the Reos will go from around 3.4~5.6 volts. With that range you should be bale to dial in most any atty in the 1.5~3.0 range to get your desired wattage. All of this has different effects on the final vape. Some prefer a higher volt, higher ohm combination, while others choose the opposite. Either way you should be able to accomplish both with a VV device.

Yeah, pretty much anything you want :) It is true that with higher resistance you have more room for fine-tuning, though. My personal sweet spot is a 3 ohm atty at 4.7-5.2 volts, depending on the juice. Since the adjustment only goes up to about 5.5 volts, I wouldn't go for the really high ohm attys (4+ ohms), but from my experience with Mike's electronics anything from 1.5-3.0 ohms will work beautifully :)

I guess it will be one of those things I'll have to learn by experience! I have only tried the Boges 2.0 ohm and LR Smoktech 1.7 ohm cartos and when I got the Smoktech ones they were un-smokeable because of their awful taste.

I also have an atty that someone gave me to try but I haven't quite figured it out yet. It's a 510 LR atty from Totally Wicked. I like how it has a tight draw but it seems to only last two long vapes before needing to be re-squonked. It also feels like it's getting really hot. The taste is much better. There is a lot more flavor to my sweet juices. I really want to try different attys, the cartos seem to burn too quickly.

Thanks for all the answers, they are helpful :)

I am going to get some of those 2.5 shorty cartos from Madvapes to put on mine.

They are cheap and would be perfect at around yellow or just past on the wheel. I think having the buzz electronics is the best deal. Unlike other wood mods you don't have to get out a meter and a screwdriver to pull it down a bit for a lighter vape in the morning. I don't like it as hot when I first get up.

Thanks for your recommendations! Feel free to keep them coming :)
I'm going to test all the ideas :D

For me I like the 2.5 Cisco on the VV

Have ran the following

2.0 Cisco at 4.4 for the most part good but not much range ( Gets hot quick) Battery life about 4ml per charge

2.5 Cisco at 4.5 -5v Best range and flavor for me. Battery life about 5-5.5 ML per charge depending on what I have it set at

3.0 Cisco at 4.5 to 5v+ Good vape good range. Battery life about 5-5.5 ML per charge. Depending where I have it set.

For me it will be 2.2 to 2.5 attys on my VV REO's

Just my 2c :)
