I have owned a reo grande for 3 years and lr cartomizers or lr 306 atty served me well on the regular reo grande for years n years ! So good as it led me to depart the forums :(

Recently bought a reo vv n rba from rob and loving it on my vv (as my reg grande finally is out of commission n has to be sent to rob) - rba has been a great vape even though making many mistakes as a novice

I would think I could buy a lr cartomizer and crank the voltage down to 3.7 (guessing on the wheel) and have a vape similar or exact same as the reo grande but for what ever reasons this is not true at all - the vape is completely different and in a bad way- anyone have a guess as to why this mite be ?

And lastly whats an atty that I should try on the vv for times when in a rush or simply don't feel like tinkering with the rba - half the time I wish I had 50 devices so I can fiddle n make 50 coils - but often when running late or don't have the time whats an atty people have had good luck with on the reo vv. ? What resistance should I look for too to take advantage of most of the spectrum of the voltage wheel - I'm guessing 2.0 ?

Also, when you actually crank the VV all the way down, it's at about 3.5 volts, I believe. I think the wheel goes from 3.5 volts to 5.5 volts. (I could be wrong on this.) If that's the case, then how do you know you're at 3.7? Are you actually measuring the voltage or just assuming that the bottom is 3.7? Just trying to think this through..... Filthy-Beast is right....with a fresh battery the mechanicals are at about 4.1 - 4.2 ohms. By the time my batteries get down to about 3.8 - 3.9 watts, I'm usually changing them out.

Also, to answer your questions.....I'd think 2.0 ohms to 2.4 ohms (Standard resistance) would work best. It's been awhile since I used anything but RBAs.

Man there are alot of rba addicts up in this piece !!!!! They can answer advanced physics questions on a new rba build but anything else they are stumped !

Yes i was just guessing on the wheel. Pretty much any spot on wheel i dont get a good vape. On my old reo grande regular i would even use the green 4.8v batteries and they vaped great as well. But with vv i cant get a good vape no matter where i put the wheel with the same cartomizers. Maybe it has something to do with airflow or how far down the 510 connector is. This is complete guess of course.

Ill live with it not working well. But 1. Just curious if anyone else had this issue and 2. What was a good on the fly atty for the reo vv ?

After buying 30 plus e cig kits n mods the only ones i havent thrown away or broke have been my 2 reos. Luv there durability and consistency

Someone give me a good one you rba whor*s ! :)

the ones Roberts sells are fine.

in ascending order (cost/quality), here is what many recommend:
empire mods bridgeless 510 (306 too?)
Vapage hybrid (only if you sign up for the newsletter and wait for the 1/2 off sale)
Cisco spec from Avid Vaper
HH357 from Avid Vaper

i have used most of those. in fact, i was recently injured so couldn't build coils for my RBAs so pulled some of the above out from my stash to get me by. in a few weeks several died, including some HH357s. i could have bought mebbe 2 RM2s for what the disposables cost.

most disposables last longer than that, but it happens. YMMV

but they're called disposable for a reason

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
I spend way less time with my RBA than any disposable atty heck my RBA RM2 at the moment lasts about the time 3-6 disposables would last and I never have to mess with the rba like with the disposables they had to be drilled out and constantly cleaned the RBA set it up and use it nothing for 4 to 6 weeks can't be any less grab and go than that IMO so get your RM2 set up right and you should be great to run :)

When I was only using disposable atomizers I found a great price with the bulk buy. I ran the L.R. on my REO's until the VV Woodvil and VV Grand. Then I got and used these standard at 2.2 ohms.
Genuine Joye 510 electronic cigarette 10-pack of black atomizers
They are now sold out, but just wanted to share.

Thanks for all input everyone! . Yeah rba is great but driving sometimes my taste goes or it wont fire for some reason. Also late At night if taste goes n dont feel like making a coil or messing w cotton.

Nerak. Your right i was using the lr atty like i did w the grande n they simply just dont perform on reovv. has to be 2.2 ohm or higher now that i had it for a month n with your confirmation.

I loooooove the rba but i appreciate the input and will be buying some to keep around !!!!

I feel like. Doomsday vaper. Always have to be prepared

Thx much !

Yeap, doomsday supplies are all here. I figure I could get buy for about 9 years if I had to :)

I used to carry a ton of spares when I had other mods. Now two Reo's with charged batteries, full bottles and installed RBAs is all I need. That way I have a full backup that I've never needed and two flavors so it's no fuss to get a change of pace either. If going on the road for multiple days, I carry my two Reo's plus a small coil rebuild kit, juice, batteries and charger.
