Not sure Gil, I don't run my VVW that high up very often. I do crank it up a bit. But you should get at least a good 4+ mils from it.

Keep a watch on the juice and let us know. I run from 4.5 to 5 v on mine with the Cisco 2.5 More power in the AM less in the PM :)

Will do. Im curious...why you run at 4.5v? I realize with a VV you get a constant 4.5 but a fully charged 18650 is about 4.2 (tho not for long) with a 3.7 device. Is that your favorite sweetspot? I have had to drop my Tesla to 4.0-4.1 when I killed my last high res atty and had to use one of my LRs till a order came in. Just seems to me besides liking HV sometimes I don't feel like Im taking complete advantage of the VV Woodvil unless its cranked up. I know everyones tastes/favorites are different but for me anyway its like if i had a Ferrari Id have to rev the engine.

I never relay thought about it much.

I just used the 2.5 atty for a while and not the meeter just kept playing with the adjustment in tell it tasted good. Checked it and found it had landed there.

With my Havana Gold it brings out a different flavor in my juice. I never set up my VV mods with a meeter I just go on flavor.

At around 4.5 -5v I get the best flavor from my HG.

When I use 1.5 Ciscos I run my IMR 18650's for about 2-3 Ml of juice then swap them out.

Never relay was in to the Ohm law and settings I just go off of how my juice tells me is best :)

In the land of no hills and red dirt

He meant pass them to the next person on the list! You did get the list right? It was there in the bubble wrap. A very important list. I was on it!

Just kidding!

Sure did! I'll get right on that!

I understand and it makes perfect sense. My OCD forces me to know what voltage is causing any change of taste or juice usage so Im contantly screwing on and off the voltage indicator all day.

LOL I hear you my OCD leans on taste and consistence. When it gets out of whack so do I LOL :)

Some may like that but IMO the voltage display take up way to much room.

I find once I have found the sweet spot I just don't even think about it any more (And that's a good thing)

It would put my OCD on over load and that's not a good thing :)

For me simple is better. That is one big reason I have always loved the REO.

Wouldn't it be sweet to have a built in voltage display.....well...maybe not for folks like us otherwise we might end up wearing out the wheel.

On that VV circuit, with true 600+ mAh batteries, 6 - 7 ml at around 8W is reasonable (2.5 ohm 4.5V, or 3 ohm 5V).

I just decided to check what the wattage I vape at is... 13 watts... I hope I can deal with less. I am wondering if when calculating watts you need to calculate using the under load, or not.

Since this thread getting the attention lately I'll ask my question here to the aficionados of VVs & batts....

Say you set you VV at 4.0v-4.1v similar to a regular 18650 Woodvil and use a LR atty...would it have any different affect on battery life or atty or would there be no difference between stacked 18350s & a 18650? This isn't Jeopardy so your answer doesn't have to be in form of a question. :)

The VVW will maintain voltage right up until it is time to change batteries. In other words, you may see unloaded 4.2V, loaded 4.1V on VVW, but it will stay at that 4.1V over time. It's a good regulator.

Basic unregulated Reo, you'll see a pretty classic drop in voltage. See post 20 here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/super-t-manufacturing/258092-2000-mah-imr-batteries-2.html You'll have dropped about 0.3V by the time you've consumed 600 mAh of the single large IMR battery capacity (at a 2.5A discharge rate), about a 15% decrease in power compared to when you started (4.1V vs. 3.8V).

Stacked 18350 in VVW would likely give you less total useable time than a single large 18650 (if you're okay with the drop in power -- it'll still be a good vape, just less power), but the VVW gives you greater consistency, you won't be getting that drop in power as you continue vaping throughout the day.

I vote VV, really like the consistency, though freely admit that a big 18650 is a solid choice too :) The voltage drop isn't all that sudden.

Thats a good way of putting it. Honestly even with a 1.5 ohm 357 I would be for a fresh batt at 3.9-4.0v ish. I am as rob puts it... a vapor pig! :D

I'm mostly using RCR123a Powerizers. They're NOT the recommended battery. They're also unprotected lithium cobalt batteries, so I'd rather baby them a bit. I have discharged them down to 2.7 volts (I know, that's bad) and they have recharged and continued to perform just fine.

They'll be replaced with AW IMR 18350's sooner or later.

Just doing a little catch-up reading. Abby candle lit. Howdy everyone. Hoping to hear good news about Abby.

Let it be known that the chip in VV REOs and Buzz Pro are both created by the Buzz Pro creater; same chip. It used to be and may still be that Buzz Pro creater recommends (ed) the Powerizers for the Buzz Pro. Although they are not protected they are supposed to be safe due to the VV REO/Buzz Pro chip's protection.

I have a set, too, and, like Tripp, I also baby them. But I baby all batteries that I stack.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I know it would take up too much room. I have seen others that have copycat Rob and tried to include one and it looked like total chaos. That type of thing is best left up to tube PVs.

The estimated sale date is two weeks away, gosh I can't wait. It's been over a year since I bought a REO (or any pv for that matter). Finally I can retire my grand from daily use, and I will have a backup REO.. I hope this sale night will not be so intense... well a guy can dream can't he? :sneaky:
