You buy one. and build your oHm to your liking and when it gets worn out our dies you just build another wick and wire for about .02
You can set it up to your liking so it will work the same every time. No clogging no bad batch no wasted $

Ok I see. I'll have to try it....thanks Wayne.

Hey everyone,
Been a while since I've stopped in, once I received the Mini and Grands- all's been euphoric! The VV has gotten my attention though. I have a question for those of you who HV vape- Do atty's last longer, not as long, or the same when using higher voltages? Thanks for any comments

That's a tough one to answer

I have found this

The hotter you run that atty the shorter the life. But if kept wet all attys last longer

Example: if you were to run a 2.5 atty at 4.5 it will last longer then running a 2.5 atty at 5.5 due to the volts or heat the coil has to deal with.

This has just been my observation over the past 1.5 + years of vaping. But as I said the key is to keeping the atty wet

I can run a 1.5 at about 4.4-4.5 and get good live IF I KEEP IT WET and take sort draws.

I seam to be a lucky vapor I never had or have issues with attys just popping on me.

I have ran one Cisco LR 1.5 306 now for over 4 months. No cleaning just blow it out every now and then. I have drilled both air holes out it was getting a stiff draw. :)

Hope that helps with your question.

MXBNW,

Thanks much for your input on this. I too have had good fortune with the Cisco 306/1.5's on my Grand. When last we spoke, I was at three months (after removing the wick at 1 month). Thanks again for your insight!

Any time :)

I talked to Rob today and he said the parts will be in in a few weeks. So we are getting closer.

Rob will need to get the parts and complete his redesign of the Woodvil wiring lay out in order to fit the parts. He will also be finalizing the design for the VV Grand.

I will keep every one posted as I get more info.

Has there ever been a Grand with wiring before? Even though my VV will be wood, I'm curious to see the implementation of wiring and circuitry in this previously mechanical-only design. Will there be milled channels to harness the wiring?

The grand has always been mechanical. So I am not sure how Rob is going to do this.

But knowing Rob it will be sweet what ever he dose. :)

I remember him saying the wheel for setting voltage will be built in the inside at the top. So he might be making the delrin "box" a little bigger to accommodate all the parts. If that is done, then there might not be much visual change in the inside.

You know, if the Grand grounds to the body (via the spring) maybe there will be a connection to the body inside the delrin box and no wires inside the compartment will be needed. People are always amazed at how clean the inside of my Grand is design-wise, it'd be great if that can be maintained going into the VV design. I really don't know enough about electrical and electronics to know if that's viable, so I'm keenly interested in seeing Robert's approach.
