Had to buy sumpin' while waiting on the Woodvilles... Black with copper vein and a tumbled silver. (I will hurt somebody for you in order to obtain a VV Woodville in good condition.)

Long overdue to post pictures of my collection. Off to find an image hosting service I can live with.

The notcigs chip is pretty finnicky.. It's supposed to see everything below 1.0 ohm as a short and shut down. I just don't know how well that works or how it goes about doing that. --> Real world? Depends on your chip. The chip in my VVPV sees everything below ~1.35-ish as a short. My VVW sees everything below ~1.2-ish as a short. One of my buddies has a BuzzPro and it sees everything below ~1.1-ish as a short. I tested them not very long ago and posted the right numbers... but I'll be dipped if I can find that post.

Also - the 15w thing... I could never quite get there. Both of my notcigs chips seem to make it to just about 13.5 or so watts. At least, that's how the math came out when I used an in-line volt meter and a known ohm. It's entirely possible Buzzkill never considered a little bit of voltage drop when he tested the first ones for the buzz pro. I think he might have just put a 2.0 ohm atty on and then used the maximum 5.5 volts and it ran at what should be 15.1w... but if you put an inline voltmeter and crank it to 5.5v with a 2.0 ohm atty or carto on, the volts will read a lot closer to 5.15 than 5.5 (at least the ones I own do... ymmv)

Thanks everyone. I can't remember the shutoff point that it wouldn't fire.

From BuzzKill:
THere is NO cutoff circuit built into the controller , it goes until the batts die
