Here is a thread with lots more coil builds. This was started back when rba's were becoming popular: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/446263-micro-coils-ohms-description.html

Me thinks Nerak runs the Reoville Public Library!!!! Next to the library is the Reoville Historical Museum, she is the curator as well. Here is a thread with lots more coil builds. I was more or less kidding about the "regulated" thing; I knew what he meant, but I've never seen that term before. Never heard such a thing about the Kangers, but interesting nonetheless. Seems redundant, though. A Kanger is what, $25? An IGO-W is like $18. And you can't adjust the airflow of a Kanger. A bit silly if you ask me.
As far as the Reo, don't mod yours. By the time you buy the supplies, order a standard rebuild kit, and tweak the modifications to your liking, the sub-ohm kits should be out. I have a brass firing pin installed, a 15A fuse replacing my spring, a slightly modified RM2 and a slightly modified 510 post, but upkeep is a hassle. Yes, it vapes awesome, and I probably wouldn't use my Reo if not for the technical support provided by pdib and others on this forum allowing for premature sub-ohm set-ups, but at this point it would be easier just to wait. A month ago I would have showered you with links to DIY modding threads, but all those fantastic discoveries will be moot in a matter of days.

Nerak is amazing![]()
I tend bar at The REO Saloon on weekends. Come on in for a drink.
I own and run the Reoville Coffee Shack! Without coffee and a Reo, nothing else matters![]()
It might be useful to note whether the responder is a "lung hit" or "mouth to lung hit". The method used makes a huge difference in what's a person's "preference". The juice used is also a factor.
I'm a "mouth to lung hit" person, running 28ga, 10-11 wraps, on a 1/16th mandrel or directly on the wick (doubled), giving me around 1.5 - 1.6 ohms, on an RM2. I vape strictly unflavored, at 20mg. Coil is even with, and close to, the air hole (standard), and level, with about 1/8th of the wick (silica) sitting out past the ends of the coil.
Just FYI, I'm about 2.5 months on this particular coil/wick and it's still vaping like it was new with only an occasional dry burn (once a week?). I change my REO way more often than my coil/wick, just so I have a chance to clean it.
2.5 months on the same WICK? Wow!

26 gage 6 wrap stove top coil comes in at about . 8 and some change cotton cloud behind it forgot what size the air hole is on rm2 approx 3 mg as close to 100% vg as you can get woodbarrel apple cider lung hits all day
I've pretty much settled in on .95 to 1 ohm coils. Using the Wire Gizmo and 1.5 mm mandril. 7 wraps 28 guage Kanthal spaced coils and 2mm ready-wick threaded into the coils on RM2 with 1/16" air hole. This setup is working perfect for all my juices and I don't see the need to experiment with coils or change anything for quite a while.
I can do this build with my eyes closed, well almost, consistently. Then mount it 2 to 3 mm off the deck right in front of the air hole and it vapes great. Put the same coil in my Cyclone AFC and it too is working perfectly.
Took me experimenting with different builds over a few weeks to settle here. Now I'm a happy camper.
